56* this morning, it definitely feels like fall. And it's dark. Just think - in 3-1/2 weeks we'll be halfway to the days starting to get longer again.

I did get my last backing finished yesterday. Today - load a quilt and get started. It's the only sewing thing I have going right now. Laundry is done though I need to make the trailer bed with the fresh sheets. House is clean-ish. Yard work is done and we got the garage squared away (again) yesterday. Bill made a run to the Goodwill and donated a carload of stuff. We saw Vicki's DD & SIL were there and they took 2 trailer loads to the dump. So progress there.
While I've been embroidering the 50 state birds, my sis has been doing the flowers. She's bringing them here after Yellowstone for me to put together. (she says so I can "give her guidance while SHE puts them together.

JANA - OK - Minnie Mouse is going to be twenty 12" blocks and Minnie's head is going to be on every block with that cute trademark bow. With red and silver polka dot sashing and a black border. Do I have it now? I'm a Mickey and Minnie fan so I want to make sure the picture in my head is correct! lol!
CAROL - your recipe sounds good. And I happen to have all the ingredients! I did see a very similar recipe in BC Dinner For Two cookbook only they used canned tomatoes instead of mandarin oranges. I think your oranges sound better. I might toss in a handful of craisins, too. . . How did your eye test go?
TINA - So is Holly at the school all day now? Does this mean the kids will be doing school on-line at your house? I would imagine it would be really hard to keep little ones focused all day on schoolwork when Gramma's house has always been all about play. What grade is Jaz in? I guess for eyes on your snowmen you could always do a short black embroidery stitch. Up at center and then down, spoke fashion moving around the center until you've made a full round of stitches.
For supper tonite, I think we'll have Yankee Dip sandwiches with a salad on the side. Plus we have some fruit kabobs left over from last night. Tomorrow - maybe we'll give Carol's pork chops a try.
How's supper looking at your house?
