Just on my way to bed but wanted to pop in here and say hello. Seems like I never get a chance to "chat" with y'all anymore.

My DGS and DH flew to KY last week just for the weekend. DH's family was having their annual family reunion and he wanted to go. This was a good opportunity for DGS to get to travel and to see his great grand parents (my mom and dad). They haven't seen him in six years (he just turned seven). DS and DGS moved out here when we got stationed here from Germany. DGS had just had his first birthday. With all of the legal crap going on, we couldn't take him out of the state. Now that all of that has been resolved and DS has custody, we can now travel!
Anyway, it was a surprise visit. Mom and Daddy had no idea they were coming in. Boy, were they ever surprised and elated! Of course, DGS doesn't remember them, but he sure did enjoy all of the attention. I am bummed that I wasn't able to go, but I am thrilled that DH and DGS were able to make the trip (they left on Friday and came back on Tuesday). DH's sister came back with them and will be here for 2 1/2 weeks. Hope she doesn't get too bored. Neither of us will be able to take time off of work, but we will have our furlough days to do stuff on! Guess there is a silver lining in every cloud, huh? LOL
DGS was thrilled to ride on a plane. He asked DH if he could say hello to the pilot, so DH said "let's wait 'til everyone gets off the plane and then we will see". Not only did he get to say hello, the co-pilot got out of his seat and let DGS sit there and touch the controls and explore everything! That was so awesome. What a wonderful memory he will have of this trip.
Today is "garage sale" day. We will be taking DSIL to the sales and then out for lunch somewhere along the way. After that, we want to go to the movies to see "RED 2". I loved "RED" and can't wait to see the sequel. Hope it doesn't disappoint.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and gets to do something fun. I'll check back later in the day to see what everyone has been up to.
See y'all later....
Hugs,
Mel
