We had a wonderful month with some very delightfully colorful blocks. Hope you post some pictures when you make your quilts

Hi Pals - I hope you all enjoyed the Christmas Festivities and will be Ringing in the New Year with Lots of hopes and dreams for all the projects you want to start and finish this year. It is my hope that these Plans include joining us this year for lots of fun, finding a New Block you really like and possibly WINNING ENOUGH to MAKE a WHOLE QUILT plus getting to know more about your Pals.
IT IS TIME to get started on the New Years Lotto Blocks! WOOHOO!!!! I predict it will be another GREAT Year and I am looking forward to seeing some new Pals join along with all our Faithful ones.
I FOUND IT!!!! Many of you have been asking to do a Strip Block and I found the PERFECT one that has some character while being Fun, Fast and Easy. It is even endorsed by Eleanor as she has the pattern for sale!!!! We will be making the "Popsicle Stick Block.

The 16.5" block is made up of 4 sections of strips using 2.5" strips. See the Picture

Section A = sew (3) 2.5 strips together & cut into a 6.5" x 6.5" block
Section B & C = sew (3) 2.5" strips together & cut (2) 6.5" x 10.5" blocks
Section D = sew (5) 2.5" strips together and cut a 10.5" x 10.5" block
The dark lines in the picture are your seam lines when you sew the sections together. You will need to trim 2 sides of each section before you sew them together. Leave the other 2 sides to make sure you have the right size block for the winners to square up.
***** The hint for successful blocks is to check the measurements of your strips after you sew the first 2 together and after adding each of the next strips and also to make sure the line on your ruler is lined up on each strip seams when you cut to ensure no crooked blocks - I know you can do it!!!!
