I don't pre-shrink, either. The Warm and Natural packaging says it only shrinks about 2-3%. I like the homey, slightly puckered look a quilt gets after I wash it, and the very slight batting shrinkage contributes to that.

Just my fat eighth.

Kendorsa has it right, but for me I put in washer, let if fill up for wash cycle, turn off machine, let it soak without soap for about 20 minutes, turn it to spin and then machine dry on a low setting. Mine stills gets that antique puckered look even after pre shrinking.
