For those interested, we're having an autograph block exchange. It will be limited to 38 participants. We'll use the free pattern here on the website that's called Crackerbox. It's the same pattern as in the Still Stripping book on page 170. After the block exchange everyone will have enough blocks to make the lap robe size quilt 54"x78". This exchange will be the same as the Fat Quarter swaps we've been doing.

Everyone will make 38 blocks. For the 2-1/2"x6-1/2" autograph rectangle, use muslin or any white or light cream color fabric you choose. Use a solid fabric and not a tone-on-tone because it works better for signing. Iron freezer paper on the back of the fabric then cut out your 2-1/2"x6-1/2" rectangles. Use a permanent ink pen, like Micron or Fabrico. After signing, cover with a pressing cloth and heat set. You can write your username and real name, where you live, embellish however you choose...or not at all...it's up to you and you can get as creative as you want. For the rest of the block use a 1930's print. We'll have a deadline for the end of June. As we all know, situations arise in life that we don't plan on, so I don't want anyone stressing about this deadline. I'll message everyone my mailing address as you're ready to mail in your blocks. Include a self-addressed, postage paid envelope for me to return your blocks in.

When we're finished we'll all have a forum sisters quilt and when we wrap up in it....it'll be like getting a big hug from all our friends here on the forum! I wish we could have all 4,000 members participate, but there's no way I could quilt something that large! I hope everyone has a lot of fun with this!!!

GP this is the least I can do! LOL..... I don't have any fabric cut out for this tho I do have the fabric purchased...and I have to try and get my count up some way...I'm totally knocked off the top 10 gabbers, so I have to make my presence felt somewhere! LOL

Thanks girls! I've got the blocks that've been sent to me so far, at the office. I have lots of space there to sort them and then send them out when it's time. Later today I'll post the names of the ones I've received.

Tiggersmom, we need to have another late night rendevous on here where we discuss "dog legs" and such, like in the good ole days! We old-timers on here haven't gotten together in a long time to party!!! And yes, we need to get you back up in the top 10....pronto! And we need to get QC, another one of us ole dinosaurs...tee-hee, right in there with us for old times sake!!! Gee, I didn't make it sound very flattering for us, did I???!!! LOL! A bunch of ole geezers! LOL!
