After a windy/rainy day yesterday we should be dry and 44* today. Tomorrow the rains return but, thankfully, not the wind. I spent the day in my sewing room. Still making backings for the quilts I did in Texas. Working on the third one today. I will finish it and load the first one onto the quilting frame. I would really like for Bill to do them with his Q-bot but he is busy with his own list of things so I'll do them, I guess, using a simple meander pattern. I don't do fancy. But the little kids won't know the difference anyway. The twins are just turning 4 and their brother is a brand new 6.
My neighbor got home yesterday from her 6 weeks south so she and I will resume our daily walks this morning. We have a lot of catching up to do! And after that Scottie has a long overdue hair appt. Poor dog looks like an abandoned ragamuffin caught in a wind tunnel!
BECCA - I'm glad to hear Lincoln is settling in at home. I bet the twins are helpful, fetching diapers and such. Are you taking anything for your cold? Cold meds can affect your BP. And I'm with you - I hate going to dr appts. Any appt for that matter!
TINA - What great pictures! That is quite a head of wonderful curls on Elijah! He is really a cutie! Looks like it was a happy birthday party! And your dad is looking good! Yes, yard maintainence folks here are expensive. But our adult grandsons needed money so we asked if they would take turns and come by every couple weeks and blow leaves. We paid them well for it. Bill told them they only needed to do the driveway and cement parking areas so the place didn't look abandoned. Well, they blew all the leaves off the driveway - and into my flower beds!! We have a lot of 150' tall trees and the maple leaves are the size of dinner plates. So it was a LOT of leaves! But now that I know LYN is willing to help out things will go much better next time!

LYN - So happy to have you at the table! Do daffodils bloom in Texas? We've never been there in spring. I always thought the bulbs need the cold winters to make them bloom. When our friends, Warren and Lois, had to move to assisted living, our group of friends went about once a month and ate with them in the private dining room that could be reserved. Sometimes we took food in but the facility had a menu we could order off of just like a restaurant. It was fun to get together with them almost like old times.
LORI - We just had salads with our burgers. I WANTED fries or tots, but we've been indulging ourselves a little too much the past few months. So we stuck with salads. And felt very scantimonious for it.

Tonite, I was thinking of homemade pizza. But I'm not sure I have enough flour to make a crust. I may have to go to the store today. We have to go out anyway to take Scottie to his appt. If we don't do pizza, then we'll do pork chops, rice, brussels sprouts, and salad.
Have you decided what's for supper yet?
