Supper Club -wed, Nov 16

Post by purrfect-lady » Wed Nov 16, 2022 5:53 am

Good morning

Yikes! We are starting down the back side of November. Thanksgiving is a week from tomorrow. And Christmas only five weeks away.

Yesterday was 7 1/2 hours on the road. But we take several breaks and it was easy driving. We were making camp by 2:30 in the afternoon. Today we need to run some errands, and hopefully can find a quilt shop nearby just because I’ve been there once before and it was a great shop. It had a large selection of patterns that use the wonder curve ruler that Valerie is using in her starry night. I think I’m over my own starry night enough now that I could tackle another project using that ruler. We will see if they have any patterns that blow up my skirt. If not, I will probably feel relieved. They make the ruler in a half size and that would make a smaller project. I have a place on the wall at home that needs a fairly large wall hanging. Maybe they will have some thing I can’t resist.

Jana, that is a whole lot of T-shirts. You and Sarah could even take some of those T-shirts and make a quilted jacket for Sandi for Christmas. Wearing It would almost be like getting a hug from Scott. I’m sure you have nothing else to do before Christmas, right? 😁

Lori, I hope your brother didn’t suffer any injuries in the accident. As long as he is OK perhaps it was all for the best. It was pretty awful trying to get my dad, and later, Bill’s mom, to give up driving when The time came. Having no car solves that problem

Carol, yes, we are parked smack in the middle of a big orange grove. And the oranges are very plentiful and ripe this year. And we are allowed to pick up to a bag a day. Yum! Usually we have to roam through the park with an orange picker to fill that bag. But this year I had a dozen oranges off the little tree right in our own site before Bill had us unhitched. I want to take some to Autumn.

Becca - how did your dental appointment go yesterday? I know you are glad to have that whole thing behind you. What kind of soufflé did you make? I haven’t made a soufflé in a long time. It was one of my standby suppers in my old life. Always cheese soufflé.

Tina, how is Frankie? Tomorrow will be three days won’t it? Did he get the x-ray?

We never made our lasagna last night. We were both still full from sandwiches at lunch so we just had chef salad. Today, we will skimp on lunch and enjoy that lasagna.

What are the rest of you having?

Good morning!

Not much new from the frozen tundra! No more snow on the ground at my house, just yucky frozen grass and dirt.

Dinner - since it's a Ethan run day, I picked up a pre made pan of chicken Alfredo at Costco yesterday. Just pop it in the oven and add a veggie.

Mary - hope you find the missing piece needed for the RV.

I'm headed down to the Batt Cave. Kitty cat has been fed and is looking for a lap to curl up on.

Hugs,
Jana

Dinner tonight will be Chicken Rice Casserole.

Maryz - Hope the part has been replaced today. Glad the oranges are ripe already. Enjoy the quilt shop.

Jana - I saw the Chicken Alfredo over Penne today at Costco. I hope you enjoy it. Hope you are getting lots of sewing time in today.

Becca - Knitting little caps sounds like a wonderful way to pass the time.

We needed to measure and photograph the auction quilts for the quilt show this morning. This afternoon I have had Zoom. I got borders sewn on two sides of a quilt. I need to make the corner block then will sew on the top and bottom.

Becca, I'm going to try to knit a beanie. I've only done a scarf and wash cloth so far. We'll see how it goes. Luckily I didn't have to take his keys away, my brother resolved that problem by totaling the car.

Mary, no he wasn't hurt. The Lexus is a pretty sturdy car and took the impact. When I had sew, I sew dog and cat hair into my projects. Not on purpose. lol

Jana, at least there's no snow. Jonathan left this morning traveling to Utah. Aneesha lives in West Jordan, so that's where he'll be for a few days. He took his warm clothes with him.

I got some cleaning done, took dad to the cemetery, went to Costco, came home and made mashed potatoes to go with the chicken I bought there, and now just relaxing. I took the chicken and potatoes to my dad and brother.

Our dinner will be cereal.

Have a lovely evening.
