Yikes! We are starting down the back side of November. Thanksgiving is a week from tomorrow. And Christmas only five weeks away.
Yesterday was 7 1/2 hours on the road. But we take several breaks and it was easy driving. We were making camp by 2:30 in the afternoon. Today we need to run some errands, and hopefully can find a quilt shop nearby just because I’ve been there once before and it was a great shop. It had a large selection of patterns that use the wonder curve ruler that Valerie is using in her starry night. I think I’m over my own starry night enough now that I could tackle another project using that ruler. We will see if they have any patterns that blow up my skirt. If not, I will probably feel relieved. They make the ruler in a half size and that would make a smaller project. I have a place on the wall at home that needs a fairly large wall hanging. Maybe they will have some thing I can’t resist.
Jana, that is a whole lot of T-shirts. You and Sarah could even take some of those T-shirts and make a quilted jacket for Sandi for Christmas. Wearing It would almost be like getting a hug from Scott. I’m sure you have nothing else to do before Christmas, right?
Lori, I hope your brother didn’t suffer any injuries in the accident. As long as he is OK perhaps it was all for the best. It was pretty awful trying to get my dad, and later, Bill’s mom, to give up driving when The time came. Having no car solves that problem
Carol, yes, we are parked smack in the middle of a big orange grove. And the oranges are very plentiful and ripe this year. And we are allowed to pick up to a bag a day. Yum! Usually we have to roam through the park with an orange picker to fill that bag. But this year I had a dozen oranges off the little tree right in our own site before Bill had us unhitched. I want to take some to Autumn.
Becca - how did your dental appointment go yesterday? I know you are glad to have that whole thing behind you. What kind of soufflé did you make? I haven’t made a soufflé in a long time. It was one of my standby suppers in my old life. Always cheese soufflé.
Tina, how is Frankie? Tomorrow will be three days won’t it? Did he get the x-ray?
We never made our lasagna last night. We were both still full from sandwiches at lunch so we just had chef salad. Today, we will skimp on lunch and enjoy that lasagna.
What are the rest of you having?
