I have that book!

I made a practice block from the equilateral triangle and really like it. I want to make the pattern on page 27 using the square pattern. And I want to make the block on the top of page 39.

Let me know when you get your book and I would love to know which one you are interested in. They are all so dramatic!

This was taken with my cell phone, so not very clear. It was just a practice piece:

There was a lot of small pieces, but it just takes a little more patience than a larger block. But I think it is a good idea to keep the end in sight with this project.

I really want to make the black/red one with the square blocks but will probably just gather fabric and start it after the Holidays. I don't want to be rushed. Or just make one square at a time and spread them out over days/nights so it doesn't become a chore, but something I will look forward to each day.

Let me know when you get your book....................

I checked the website and I like this one too. It looks better thean the Magical Hexagons by Martha Thompson demonstrated on HGTV

I have the book but never made one so far. I think for 2010, if I made two blocks a month I can have it done. Two blocks aren't that unrealistic and better then doing them all at once. A little ppiecing goes a long way. LOL.

I have two wall hanging and taught a class using twisted log cabin book as textbook. You really need to know paper piecing, as they are all pieced. The book has patterns or tell you how to draft you own.
