Help with valences for windows

Does anyone have directions or a pattern to make window valences? I would like to line them, too. What do you suggest for lining them? Thank you for your help.

I have made curtains,drapes,valances roman shades, etc. with and without a pattern. I am from the "old school" - lol. Will you put them inside/outside the window frame/casing? If you want them fuller you make them at least 1.5 times the width. I have used sheets for lining and also purchased white fabric. I usually use the serger for sewing fabric/lining together.
