Where can I purchase pillow case pattern

Post by Chrissy1 »

While visiting our AUnt Martha today at the hospital (she is 92) I couldn't help but notice how grey her room was. She will be moving to St. Francis house which is a lovely place where people go to rest until they become angels. I have made simple pillow cases for the grandson with just a tube type sewing, but I was thinking I would like to get some really soft cottons from our fabric shop is some pretty colors and make a few pillow cases for her. Maybe even after she gets there for some of the other people there. I am not sure where I would purchase a pattern so if anyone has any guidance as to where I can , I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you

You don't need to purchase a pattern. The above sites will tell you just about all you need to know. The second one is a BOM video, but half way through she demonstrates how to make a "Magical" pillowcase.

If you go to PILLOWCASES UPDATE in the projects from the heart, you can possibly find a few more sites to visit.

These are really fun and easy to make up. Have fun!

I bought satin to make pillow cases for a couple of my kids and my son-in-law loved it so much he asked for another one. LOL They are soft and your head just slides easily over the pillow. Marge

Chrissy, put a tag on the inside of your auntie's cases with her name on it so they don't get lost in the home's laundry.

Thank you everyone so very much for the information. Once Aunt Martha is there I will check to see what color her room is and size of the pillows and the go from there. In the meantime I will gather up all the information you all sent (thank you again) and practice on some for the grandsons or our daughter. Have a wonderful day

Chrissy, if you send me a PM with your mailing address, I will be happy to send you my pattern. It is the easiest one I have found and it is fun to do.

Thank you everyone. I have tried to pm some of you but if you didn't get it, (Judy and Linda) it is because that little code on the left side when you send a pm, I can't read it real well so I guess. Off to see Aunt Martha. Thank you everyone for all of your help
