Advice needed -- Never Mind

Post by jacquie2 »

Hi everyone -- I'm just about done pinning the minkee binding to this baby quilt....I have had to pin the binding every inch or so over the seam, but I'm not sure if I will be able to catch the folded over edge when I stitch in the ditch. Once I start sewing this, there won't be any turning back or tearing out. Should I hand sew a long basting stitch and get rid of most if not all of these pins. Besides not being sure if I'll catch that edge, I'm positive I'm going to be "pinned" to death <lol> Any suggestions would be appreciated, happy trails, jacquie

Update -- I've decided to go ahead and baste. So far it seems it is going to work, and I won't be scratched by 100's pins. Sure wish I had thought about doing this a couple of hours ago <lol> Thanks anyway, jacquie

Good luck Jacquie. I've never worked with minkee so I would have been no help, but let us know how it goes.
