Good morning It is cold 17 and we are going to get another snow today, maybe 1-3 more, but not till later.
My cold is finally starting to go away. Not a lot going on here, I really need to get some cleaning done, but mostly dusting,,,this house is very dusty. But not till I get home, Today I go with my DDIL to therapy. Her Dr found a therapy place that specializes in clients with MS. And wants her to try it. She wants to try anything that .might help. I go as the lovely assistant, getting her wheel chair out of the car for her and back in, her goal is to lose the chair, she can walk around the house with out it and uses a walker ( a big improvement) as much as she can but outside she does need the chair,
Im still hand stitching away on the applique blocks and although it might take forever to get these done they are coming out good. I am really pleased with the results.
Well I need a cuppa and get my self presentable..Hope you all have a great day, Prayers are being said for all of us who need ( dont we all)..XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Good morning,

JUDI, your DDIL is such an inpriration. I pray some day she can lose the WC. Your quilt is going to be so pretty. Do you take a block with you to work on while waiting for your DDIL?

JANA - got baby?

LORI - I do feel badly for your poor hubby with his back. Back surgery really helps some folks. And for some it becomes an even worse rabbit hole. Bless him. And yes, I can sit still for 30 min. But only if I have something to do like read, stitch, talk, bowl. To just sit. Uh-uh. Can't do it. I saw your paint party on FB. Look like a nice group of friends and they all are smiling! I saw the weather map on TV and I was wondering what kind of sweet temps you were getting. We are in the 50's this week.๐ŸŒž Soo bad we're not camping!

CHRISS - oh no! Not the furance! If it had only lasted another couple of months! Praying for warm weather for you! Lots of dad stuff going on at your house!

MARY Q - snow? Headed your way?? Soon??? Glad you are stocked up on the necessities! I'd add a can of soup to the larder.

LYN - I wish our collective caring for you could take away some of your burden. Prayers.

VAL - I think Tony is in need of more prayers. And he's got them! You do, too.

TINA B - hope our warmer temps are headed your way soon!

Yesterday I made 6 laps, 2 dinosaurs, lunch, and took a nap. We went out to a marvelous dinner - I had chicken picata with linguine and the others all had catfood. We brought home leftovers for tonite. Today I'll cut out the last two dinosaurs.

The EOB's of all my hip charges are starting to roll in. And suddenly, the cost of our medical insurance doesn't seem so expensive. Thank God we have it. $100K and counting.

Saying prayers for everyone! Seems like we can all use them, if not today, then we'll put them in the prayer bank!

What kind of key opens a banana? A MonKEY!

Today is floors, they are gross and finally sew time with baby. She is Raring to go.
Tomorrow I will babysit fir my 3 yr old buddy and her 6 yr old brother so her parents can go have a date lunch. I may invite DDIL & DGD too.
Maryz I like the joke.
Judi hope the new therapy helps DDIL.

The prayers are very helpful, thank you.

My glasses are in, so I will pick them up and grab Capt a shake as I route through Marble Falls this morning. Going to meet Bob and Carol for a late lunch at a place we like. The place has announced that they are closing permanently in a few days. Sad, it's a good restaurant.

Prayers for needs here, especially Kate & Enoch.

Well, I am having to sign in again every time I come to the site. I don't know why this happens. But this is how it started. The last time I couldn't get in.

I've had my breakfast, having my second cup of coffee and then I will jump in the shower.

As for tony, we do not know at this point exactly how they're going to get all these polyps out. All the pcp said was, it will either be through a colonoscopy or surgery. We will find out more when he goes to the surgeon. I will decide then if I am going or not. I have some health appointments of my own coming up so it will depend on dates.

Jana i will try to wait patiently for baby. I guess I missed why they would induce if they're trying to lengthened the gestational age. Prayers that all goes well.

Lyn sounds like things are stable for now with Garry. I'm glad he is able to enjoy his shake.

I think I told you about the lady who fell and broke her neck. She is supposed to come home from rehab on the twentieth. Sounds like she's probably made as much progress as she's going to. Her left arm is completely flaccid, it will do nothing. She can take a few steps with a walker and help. The right arm is functional, but shaky, and she's unable to feed herself. This family was not at all prepared for an event like this and I guess had just decided mom was going to be around forever. If we can add a few prayers for her, her name is Sharon. Her grandson is one of the young men who helped me with dad from time to time. Here's autistic but high functioning.

Praying for the day to come soon when all are well here. Sounds like dh is out of the shower, so my turn. Have a great day everyone.
A Friend is God's way of making sure we never walk alone!

Good morning!

Just got the morning update. OB doesn't think Kate will make Monday. They located the tear/leak, it's in the top of the sack. But everything is progressing and I'll bet "Spike" will be here today. He got his nickname, Spike, the dinosaur, from the Land before time movie. The little dinosaur who didn't want to come out of the egg. Yup, that's our Enoch, thought he wanted out, but changed his mind! Both are doing well, numbers are where they should be. Just waiting.

Tonight, I'm going to Matt's. Matt's family have tickets to a play, but the little girls are staying with Matt, so I'll go there to watch them.

I have errands to run today. And then put a guest room back together. We put ll the Christmas stuff boxes 8n there, while they were empty. Now everything is back down stairs, that room needs help!

Off to feed the grump, and he's really that today,

Hugs,
Jana

Lyn, what flavor of shake? I like strawberry. There was a restaurant new us that was really good, but the owners wanted to retire and couldn't find anyone to take over. So it closed. It was our favorite breakfast place. Plus we'd been going there for years and knew all the servers.

Jana, sounds like that movie "Look Who's Talking." The baby comes out and immediately says put me back in. It's warm and cozy inside.

Valerie, I had to log in yesterday, but marked the keep me logged in button and I didn't have to today. Sorry about the lady who broke her neck. That sounds terrible. I guess it's a waiting game with Tony. You'll know when you know.

Flo, you're going to need to rest up for tomorrow.

Maryz, we had a great time painting. It really doesn't matter what we do, we always have fun. Our weather is in the 80's. We always have a nice week in January before it goes back to winter. When I was in high school, we would head up to the mountains in the morning. Play in the snow, then come back down and go to the beach. The location and the weather is why property is so expensive here. Yay for 6 laps and 2 dinos. You'll be done with that quilt by the end of the month.

Judi, brrrrr.

I've walked and now I need to do my exercises for my arm. I have an MRI scheduled for today, so we're moving along with a better plan for healing. I didn't get any sewing in yesterday, so maybe if I have a few moments today I can get a row together. Dinner will be steaks on the grill and mashed potatoes.

Have a lovely day.

Good morning. It's going to be slightly warmer today. Might just open up the house this afternoon and see if the outside warmth will come inside. It's going to be a great day.

Yesterday dad started on my microwave shelf. He takes a little longer than he used to but he's having fun and wants to do it. I took Judy to get her hair done. She gets around really well but her memory is just shot. It's so sad. And last night I finally cooked that Salisbury steak. There is some for dad to take home today, and some will be my dinner tonight.

There is a new, The Ghost Who Was A Quilt book out. Must be the beginning of a series. Looks like it moves from Halloween to Christmas. I will probably order it since it's already in my cart on Amazon.

Today, even though the parents will be here, is clean the bathrooms day. This house didn't seem this big when the kids were home, but it's a lot of house for an old lady and her pooch. I think once the windows and furnace are done it's time to take a break and do some organizing and rearranging. I'm thinking that under the microwave I could put a couple of deep slide out drawers for pots and pyrex stuff. Then turn the old pyrex cabinet back into the pantry and turn the pantry back into a closet for my broom and vac. And I would love to get back into that garage and get it organized again.

Judi, you are such a blessing to DDIL. And I am so impressed with her attitude, she's quite a gal.

Maryz, I never did add up the total of my surgery but I did see an EOB for 1.2 million come through. Thankfully my out of pocket was 3k so that is all it cost me. 6 laps is a great accomplishment, high five to you. The coldest it's been in the house without a furnace is 43 degrees, space heaters are a total blessing. I also own flannel lined pants.

Flo, wise choice on bake by yourself day. Apple turnovers were a great idea. If I could have mine warm with a scoop of vanilla I'd be a happier girl.

Lyn, A milkshake will be a nice treat for Garry. Enjoy lunch out. So many businesses seem to be closing, it's a sad thing, but you will find a new diner.

Valerie, Sorry about Sharon, prayers said. Hoping things go in Tony's favor. I've had to log in once in a while too. Mostly if I use my tablet or phone.

Jana, when you said Spike I thought of Snoopy's cousin who lives in the dessert. I like the dinosaur better. I sure hope Spike stays in his warm cozy space as long as possible. when he does finally decide to come out give him a very gentle smooch right on top of his head for me.

Lori, did the muscle relaxer help you sleep. I'm so glad you got that ortho appointment so quickly and the MRI today. It's good to be you.

Well, dad just called, he will be here tomorrow instead of today. I will get right on those bathrooms and find some other chores to keep me busy. tonight dinner will be leftovers. You all have a fab day

We have baby! He finally got here at 7:09, my time. Weighed in at a shy ounce under 6 lbs and Aaron sent me the length 8n centimeters! Silly boy! The NICU is very pleased with how he's responding. The dr laid out that it was taking too long so a c- section was in order. Kate is tired, but doing fine.

Now the next journey begins. Thanks for the prayers
