Good morning,

I missed yesterday we went to a new store called sprouts it was ok it has produce and some is organic I bought a few things and we left them I came home and stripped the bed and did the sheets made the bed up and washed 1 more load of clothes.
Also email grace to see if they made any progress or even remotely started it she got back to me and said they are working on it but that's all she said so I shot back and told her I'm sorry to bother you but with all the trouble shooting and waiting on parts I haven't been able to use my machine since August.
Well she emailed me back and said you are not a bother .

Today I have a foot doctor apt and Bill has a dermatologist apt this afternoon .
So I'm going to do a load of wash now.

I hope you all have a great day.
Prayers go out to all.
Lois

Good Morning Lois, You certainly are an early bird, I was up at 530 this morning I am dressed and have a load of laundry going, I will also bake a loaf of bread today, I didnt get to the meat market yesterday so I will do that at 9 when they open. We are cooling off here finally it will only be 69 today, we are supposed to get rain we can obly hope...We have to run to Colleens house later today to pick up a a tool she borrowed, and drop off the dress, We went to Sophias volleyball game last night but no one was home to drop the dress off. And they didnt come to the game.
Prayers for Colleens father in law would be appreciated, They will do brain surgery on his cancer today and see if they can alleviate the swelling that is causing him problems....
I worked on the KTVC last night and even went to the youtube videos for reasons why this quilt is put together the way it is,,,If you follow the pattern as written you really have no choice but to follow her directions and it is different, The quilt is very nice though and I will love it when its done,,
I just realized if the weather cntinues to cool I will have to start winterizing the house,,,by doing the windows,,,Storm windows need to be put in,,,you all know how I feel about these windows...I am always happy when they are done...but not the doing,,,,
Off I go to do the wash and bake the bread and go up to the market,,,then I will resume the quilt,,,,Supper will consist of keilbasa cabbage and what ever left over veggies I have. That along with the homemade bread will end up being soup Im sure,,
Have a wonderful day Prayers for all your needs,,,Those of you reading but not posting POP in and say hi we would love to know what you are up to.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Good morning,

LOIS - Dr appts and laundry. Both seem never ending. There are Sprouts stores in Texas and I think in Colorado. Maybe even in Washington, though I don't shop at them. I hope, if they are really working on your machine now, that it will soon be on its way home to you. After all - you have your clients waiting . . .

LORI - how was class yesterday? What's the hardest part of watercolor painting? What's the easiest part? Do you know yet? Your boys had their baths a few days ago and I think you mentioned they were - uh - having trouble working up enthusiasm. It occurred to me - aren't labs supposed to love water? Or is it just soapy water they don't like?

JANA - how are all the patients this morning? Sounds like Ethan is better. How's Mr. Grumpypants feeling after his appt yesterday? And how is Zion? And how is Kate feeling? And Daniel's job? And the Three Little Kittens? And Andrew?

LYN - snow?? It's time, girl! It's time to be gettin' yourself out of Dodge! And yes, sometimes my hip(s) give out on me when walking. I don't go down (yet), but nearly. But as of this week, I've given up my morning walks. I've been walking every morning for nearly 30 years, but when I get my new hips, watch my dust! Do you have arthritis in your hips? Or do you know if you do?

FLO - how is Debbie this morning? Have you heard? Is she your friend, or your friend's friend? Or both?

VAL - we've been, not so much as TO, but THROUGH Indian Springs several times. It's very small. My niece lives very close to your DBIL, In a small development on east side of 95 (Casa Coronado) between Indian Springs and Vegas. I hope you are able to get DBIL's pre-op appointments all squared away. Too bad he doesn't write this stuff down. Could you change the contact phone numbers to yours? Then you would know what's going on, and if you aren't there, you could call him to go or do whatever he needs to go and do.

CHRISS - Do you have an install date yet for your countertops? I hope you get to see Elliott soon. Are you able to get down and then up from the floor? Because there's a lot of that when visiting our littles! We both have to get in shape!

MARY Q - Nice that you had such a great weekend with your DB and DSIL. The bed in our trailer is also high - because there is 18" deep storage underneath it. We have a step stool on each side of our bed. For that matter, I have a step stool to get into our house bed, too. I'm not sure the birth order thing figures into my family. We have a 17 yr span from oldest to youngest. Three boys in three years. 4 yr gap, then my older sister. Then a 9 yr gap and us two little girls born 13 months apart. I guess if we have a queen in our group, it's me. 😜 I was kind of bossy to my little sister. Oh, Antonio says he was in WA, but it was only to change planes. I wouldn't call seeing Seatac Airport out an airplane window as getting the best view of our state. Sorry about having to change your Medicare plans. Many of our friends are, too. Some are going to Plan G. Even Bill is considering giving up Plan F for G. They are very similar. F costs a little more but has no deductible.

JUDI - I was up a bit before 4am - 7am your time. Well, after your glowing report as you work on the KTVC just ahead of me, I'm starting to wonder about this project. Though I've made several quilts - some my own designs - putting odd sections together. Hopefully those will be good practice for this one!. I did get the second row of FG made yesterday. But that's all I did. I'm ready to the page to see what's up next. Prayers for Colleen's FIL. What a scary time for him and all his family.

Yesterday I did mostly nothing. And I didn't get that quite finished. Sigh. My massage therapist, David, has asked me to make a bunch of neck warmers and heat packs for him. It's the purrfect use for a huge piece of fabric I've had for years. Plus there's no rush. And he wants cases to go with each heat pack so another good use for some of the odd pieces of cotton I've had for a long time. He doesn't care what fabrics I use. I have ten packs cut out in two different sizes, I did remember to check that I'm using cotton thread since these will go into microwaves. Whew! I didn't want to have to buy different thread. He wants these packs to be filled with corn that he'll bring to me when he gets it. It's easy sewing and I'm happy to do it. I've made him a few quilts over the years that eventually wore completely out so about 5 years ago some of you may remember that I made Christmas stockings out of them for him to give to all his family. He has a BIG family!

Today - I have nothing on my calendar. I'm going to pick up a few things around the house (house cleaner comes tomorrow :D ), sew up those packs I cut out yesterday, and see what's next up in KTVC. I think Judi said something about triangles. I'm also working on Cathedral Windows here and there. I think I'm a little past the halfway point of the size I'm aiming for - 60"x64". And, of course, plenty of quality cat petting time on the couch with Foxtrot. A full day!

Supper is still a mystery but we're going to have a fresh green salad, I know. My body is craving some greens. Maybe we'll grill some chops, boil potatoes, and make fake gravy from a packet. yum.

I'm hoping everyone as a 5-star day!

Good morning!

Cold and cloudy. No rain until the weekend. Snow is still hanging out on the mountain tops, inching it's way down to my level. There's a hurricane off Baja that will supply us with water.

My patients are all doing well today. Mr G's skin grown is removed and sent to the lab. Not cancerous, but they are erring on the side of caution. Results in a week or so. Ethan's asthma calmed down quickly when we got him n clean air. All others are doing well too. Now too stay that way!

My Christmas elves will be here today, putting my lights on the house. They dress as elves too! Sarah's house is scheduled first, then mine.

Not much else here. Sewing sometime today. The church is broadcasting the funeral of President Nelson this morning, so that will be on here.

Hugs and prayers,
Jana

Good Morning Girls!

Happy Tuesday. Am typing fast this morning as I'm up and showered but need to get dressed and "prettied up" to go pick up Peggy! She's feeling much better today, so we are going to go have a fun day!

Yesterday I was sewing along on my embroidery machine, it was making a little squeaky noise, but I kept going. A couple minutes later the whole thing totally locked up!!! I can't even get the needle up and out of the project I was stitching!!! Hoping they can fix it! So Peg and I will head up to the sewing center in St. Cloud--thankfully they can fix Brother Embroidery machines! Lots of fun Thrift stores in St. Cloud and great places for lunch!

Lois.... Any word on your machine?

Judi... Will send some prayers for Colleen's FIL as I drive today!

Maryz... Not familiar with plan G or F! I might have to check that out. I have an Advantage plan and always have---it's always worked out well for me. Am leaning that direction, as there are several plans out there with $0.00 monthly premium. Need to do a lot of comparisons for coverage and to make sure my Dr's are covered. Have fun with David's sewing project---I love doing stuff like that for folks!

Jana... Snow on the mountains? Please don't send it here.... I'm not ready for it at all!!

Better run.... getting this face and hair ready for public viewing is not an easy task!

Have a great day all!

Sunny and 33* on the Mountain. It was snowing yesterday afternoon on Longs Peak, but stayed above our 7,800 ft.

I got the light fixture secured with bolts and wire, then got the two detectors up in the lower level. I just emailed the inspector the photos of detectors locations. Hopefully he will approve and email a clean inspection report.

The plumber will be here tomorrow with the wire that needs replacing. I think they forgot about it. There's an order coming that I don't have a delivery time yet, hopefully by Friday. Transwest hasn't called yet to say the MH is done, and that's OK by me. I'm working to get everything ready and guess I better get back to it.

Hope everyone has a good day.
Lyn

Good morning. It's going to be, or so I am told, the last hot day of the year. We should see 90 today.

Yesterday I did my cardio rehab then went to lunch with the parents. Did a little grocery shopping and picked up my stew fixin's. I've seen stew recipes that say to add a can of cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup so the broth will be more gravy like. I bought both and will give it a shot. If it turns out bad I will pour it down the squirrel holes that I have an abundance of. Not really but if I thought it would work I might try it.

Today a friend wants me to go to town with her so she can pick up a vacuum cleaner. I'm pretty sure lunch will be involved. And on Thursday late afternoon will be a cousin's reunion where I need to bring an appetizer. I'm still deciding what that will end up being.

Lyn, those fluorescent fixtures are a booger, glad you mastered it. Hope you don't have a whole lot to do before your MH is done. I did get my pointer back on my computer. I held down the ctrl key, or maybe it was the function key while pushing the on button over and over. It's back. and I am in business.

Lori, I bought a shirt at the flea market, Moose appreciates the scratch on the head and asked that you give Wrigley and Jack a belly rub. Are you painting a specific picture in your watercolor class or mixing and playing with colors.

Lois, we have a sprouts in town. I've been there a couple of times, not my kind of store. The Grace people don't seem to communicate well. hope the machine comes back and works wonderfully for you very soon.

Judi, I read your whole post, saw Kielbasa and cabbage and immediately forgot what you posted. My goodness I haven't had that in a long time. Seems the last couple of times I bought Kielbasa it wasn't as good as I remembered. Hope the dress fits Sophia perfectly and prayers for the FIL

Maryz, making those corn pouch heating things will keep you out of trouble. Nice that you are able to do those for him. If you fill them with corn and put them in the microwave, will you end up with popcorn? I can move around fine and am doing quite well. Still can't lift anything heavy, but I'm working towards that goal. I'm quite happy with my progress.

Jana, glad those boys of yours are enjoying health. Perhaps they need a bubble, remember that movie? Boy in a plastic bubble? I wouldn't scoff at some of that cool snowy weather. I might scoff at the snow, but if you melt it and send it this way I'd be overjoyed.

Maryq, hope the machine is an easy fix and the thrift stores have an abundance of fun stuff for you. I went to the thrift store yesterday, they had a wooden two drawer filing cabinet for $30. But it was pretty deep and would really stik out from the wall. I might go back on Thursday because that is senior discount day, and if it's still there I will ponder it. Enjoy your day out.

Guess I need to get dressed. Moose waits outside the door until I emerge, he jumps on the bed when I put my shoes on and then gets excited because he knows we are going outside. As we go down the hall he stops at each of the three rooms and looks back to make sure we aren't going into one of them because in his mind the only goal is outside.

Dinner tonight will be the hamburger I didn't cook last night. I will make that taco salad, or nacho's. Tomorrow the plan is stew.

You girls have a super day,
Chriss.

Chriss, Jack and Wrigley say thanks for the belly scratches. It's Wrigley's favorite thing. Jack jumps on the bed and gets excited when we are getting ready to go for a walk. He walks behind me down the hallway so I don't go the wrong way. A shirt for a dollar sounds like a good deal. I haven't bought the stew items yet. Someday soon though. Maybe. hahaha

Lyn, glad you are getting everything done before you go. Hope the snow holds off until then.

Maryq, oh no! Do you have to oil that machine? Maybe it just needs to be service and that's it's way of telling you. I know nothing about embroidery machines. I do all mine by hand.

Jana, glad everyone is okay. Is it the classroom where Ethan gets the attacks? When I was working a I used to get sinus infections as well as another worker. We complained that we thought it was the HVAC. Since I retired I don't get them any longer. Now I'm sure it was the HVAC or something in the closed up room I worked in for years.

Maryz, Class was fun. the hardest thing so far is controlling the water and color. It like to do it's own thing. The easiest part is showing up for class. Yes, retrievers do like water, but not with soap. The friend that I take line dancing with has both hips and one knee replacement. She gets around way better than before. I think I need a cat. I miss the soft fur and purring.

Judi, glad you are figuring out the KTVC. Jen Kingwell puts her quilts together like a puzzle. You have sections and then other pieces to make everything fit together. Homemade bread and soup sounds good.

Lois, sometimes the tone of things people write don't translate how they are supposed to. Maybe a call would be better so you can get more information. Spouts is one of my go to stores. I do mostly organic foods and their prices are good. Our stores are pretty well stocked.

It's a cloudy cool morning, but should clear out in a bit. We're supposed to hit 80 today. Bill's off playing golf. I think I might sew today. I also need to dust a bit, but we'll see how that turns out. Don't know what's for dinner yet. I still need to have breakfast.

Have a lovely day.

Just a quick note. My friend is off life support, but no change in lungs. She is on end of life treatment. Keep her family in your prayers please, I think her passing will be soon.
