We are home from the eye surgeon. They were able to get the piece of metal out of his eye a very, very tiny tiny piece, but to him it felt like a telephone pole in there. He’s taking a nap now I’m taking down Christmas and all is well they did put him on antibiotics for seven days. Thanks for all your kind. Thoughts?

Chriss, happy birthday to your dad. I know he will enjoy a great day with you. Last time we went to Costco, we got there right before they opened. When we left people were circling for parking spots 20 minutes later. It was crazy. And yes, the stopping in the middle of the lane is aggravating.
Judi, glad they doctor was able to remove the metal from Ken eye. It's scarry to have things happen to your eyes as you get older. Too bad dinner was canceled, but now you have a dinner out to look forward to.
Valerie, glad you are getting back to normal. Enjoy your sewing day. At least if the living situation doesn't work out for your BIL, he might be able to find low income housing there. Housing is way cheaper there.
Hi Diane. Happy new year to you to.
Jana, we'll watch the parade tomorrow too. Was a drum major in the band at Santa Ana high school. They won the band competition in 1968, and got to go to the Rose parade in 1969. Bill missed it as he was deployed to Vietnam. He loves to see all the bands.
Maryz, wow...you are whipping through your projects. Glad you had fun with the little one. The fabric is set to arrive on Thursday.
Lois, I wait until after the new year to go shopping for anything. People get crazy over the sales, and I just don't need anything.
Hi Tina. What are you up to today?
I got the facing on my table runner. I'm hand sewing it down, so I should finish it up today. I like it and will do it again. Dad has a PT and a home health nurse coming to see him today. So I'll go over for that. He did a little better at standing and taking small steps yesterday with the walker. Our hot water heater went off, so Bill called someone to come out and take care of that. It's only 7 years old.
I went grocery shopping yesterday, so I might put a roast in the crock pot for dinner.
Have a lovely last day of the year.
