Good morning. Today will be a beautiful day. Tomorrow our temps climb into the mid 90's.

Yesterday was spent cleaning the breezeway. The walls had years of dust on them, and I took a brush with soap and water and cleaned half of it. Today, the other half is on the agenda. But before that I will do my kitchen floor. You'd think they would stay clean with only one person and her trusty mutt living here.

Dad also came over yesterday and will be here again today so I will be holding up or running for that to help him.

I did something really stupid yesterday. Moved a four drawer metal filing cabinet out of the house to the junk pile. Even with a dolly those things are awkard to do anything with. I heard my knee pop and it is very sore today. Pretty sure I won't be running or climbing for a few days.

Judi, happiest of birthday's to you. So glad you are getting a party and will have loved ones all around you. I can only imagine the smile on your face the whole time you are celebrating. It's good to be you.

Lyn, I think old mom's should write a book about all the things that happened when their babies were little that made them feel bad. New mom's would read it and realize they aren't alone and babies do survive. Wehn my son was little I was carrying him, missed a step and he fell out of my arms and slid across a tile floor. I bet it is good to be home.

Maryz, sounds like you are having a good time. I love pot lucks. My stepmom offers to help but quits quickly. We give her jobs here and there but she can't lift or do much heavy work. And if she doesn't want to do the job she says she's not going to do it. She just doesn't realize that she asks to help every 10 minutes or so. I did tell my son to move the bassinette closer to the window for naps. They are just nervous and want to do it right. I also told him that if there was something medically wrong that the baby wouldn't be home. Love your sewing set up, it's perfect.

Jana, isnt it funny. Sign this paper or you can't leave. Come on, like the doctor has all the power and is going to keep you there. Or like you are going to get a visit from the hospital to see if you are following the directions on their list. jeez.

Valerie, yay for you calling your last day the 27th. Nice to have Turkey day all to yourself and not have to worry about being called out. You will love this retirement thing. Not working full time is an adjustment but after that it's bliss.

Maryq, yay, it's bathroom painting day. What fun. My oak trees go from green to brown, some stay green. The leaves pretty much stay on the trees, while there are leaves all over the ground there are still tons of leaves in the trees. Your's sounds beautiful. I'll get over to see the baby as soon as his paren't realize he isn't made of porceline.

Lori, I didn't end up blind shopping. Dad came over instead. Dad doesn't do anything early so I wait for him to show up usually after noon and that sort of messes up my day, but I am grateful that he does all that he does. I'm also still figuring out what kind of blinds/shades I want. For me, putting Jerry in board and care was so helpful. I couldn't do the physical lifting anymore and he couldn't walk well. And it allowed me to have some freedom knowing he was fine.

I think I will get some breakfast and get to work. First a trip to the hardware store and maybe the grocery store. I need a tiny bit of wood glue and a white onion.

Dinner tonight will either be bbq cheeseburgers with bacon or bbq steak with mushroom and onions. both are thawing in the fridge

Have a fantastic day

Good morning from a very sunny, going into the mid 80s, SW. Pa....Not much happening in the neighborhood so far today....I had the 2nd part of the sleep study last night and this morning when I got home, Baby Girl was sitting by the door..I imagine, she was very confused when she couldn't find me in my bed....But, she's been my buddy since I got home, lol. I did have a laugh, after they got me all wired up, I was going to read but couldn't figure out how to get the glasses over that contraption so rolled over and went to sleep..Really felt good this morning...This past week has shot by so quickly, nasty doctor appointments every day but today...Today is going to be "ugly" day, inside and hopefully out.....I made the mistake of looking at mums the other day and a few jumped into the car...Some of the ones I had planted last year are blooming beautifully but you always have to have new ones, right? So, need to get these in the ground....

Judi, a Very Happy Birthday today along with prayers and happy wishes for the next coming weeks.....Sounds like you are good to go!
MaryZ, what a nice picture, great sewing nook...Enjoy your get away......
Maryq, I've also been watching the trees but most are still green and they say, we might not have much color this year because of the crazy weather we've had....I have a feeling, we'll go straight from summer to winter....I found a bunch of quilters that get together every Wed. not too far from where I used to live...I've taken them scads and scads of fabric and quite a few tops and they've been finishing them for nursing homes...When I visit, they bring out the pictures to show me what they've done, gives me a good feeling......
Chriss, Hearing you talk about the new baby brings back a lot of memories...Our 1st was a stinker, cried every night for about 5 weeks and of course we didn't get that instruction booklet and were clueless....I was nursing and of course, being stressed sure didn't help that but we survived, some how! Bringing home the rest got easier each time and by the 5th, easy peasy.....But just think, they'll have him "broke in" when you see him and he'll be ready for all those hugs and kisses.....And one thing about grand and great grands, if they cry, dirty a diaper or any of those things, you can always hand them over to Mom or Dad...Your job will be to enjoy every minute......
Lyn, so happy to hear you are back in Texas...Must feel good to be able to relax and not have to think about traffic and weird drivers.....
Well, this isn't getting my uglies done...So need to have some lunch and get with it....

You all have a great rest of the day..... (My late DDIL, Cindy, who ended her calls everyday with that saying, would have been 65 just the other day..) I still can't believe she's gone and miss those daily calls so much.......She was indeed special.....
