Good morning. Was it me, who just last week, was complaining about the heat? I'm not complaining now. It's not even 60* outside. I am wearing sleeves and loving these crisp cool mornings. I'm even wearing my warmer slippers.

Today I will pull a few more things out of the garage and call the guy who will haul it all off. I did get through every tote and am ready to start putting things back up. I do still have a few things in the rafters but can't reach them. I will need a helper for both tasks.

Tina, amazing how quickly things can go down hill. I'm finding that Jerry didn't upkeep this house like I thought he was. Looking back the last maybe 5 years of his life were spent in his recliner. Thankfully this house is fixable. Like your dad's house it needs some attention. Funny about the coffee makers. Another thing that I know is in the garage is gallon milk jugs filled with water. They do come in handy if you need to flush and the power is out, but I bet there are easily 75 of them out there when 4 would be enough. Hope that your dad realizes driving isn't the best idea and home health care is. Prayers said.

Lois, Sounds like your ducks are in a row. A visit from the kids, a new machine and a hair cut. It's good to be you.

Diane, it's looking like rain here. My grandpa used to say it's a great day if you were a duck. Thanks for putting that memory back in my head.

Judi, you got me beat. I should only see a high of 72 today. Sorry about your not sleeping well. I am hoping the meeting with the surgeon today will be helpful to you and you won't be so worried. I think Ken will do fine while you are in rehab and will love having you back home all fixed. A New York Beauty quilt looks like a true challenge. I'll watch from here.

Maryz, I'd rather have spaghetti but it's a chilly comforting food kind of a day here. Happy camping

Sharona, what fun to play with a new puppy. I think soup is a great idea. It's sure soup weather here today but I don't have the fixings for soup.

Valerie, I am so glad you talked with a real person who understood at the VA. So nice to have that task done. I'm sure it was hard to remain calm and talk with your jaw tightening. I think, when the letter arrives, I'd frame it. Enjoy having the kids there, sounds like a big slumber party. Nice to have your quilting stuff either done or in the works. Yep, I've looked at both the Halloween store and Amazon, and even other places. I ended up ordering a onesie in bright pink and pink and will add black lines across it. Then I will get a cap, make and attach ears. Fingers crossed. Do you have sick leave for your night job? Would be nice if one of your doctors would write up an excuse so you could get paid and stay home.

Maryq, If you find the perfect flooring let me know. I imagine some kind of tile would be best, or a chair mat might help. Curious to see what you find. If you find some kind of blinds that would work in my windows in the kitchen that would be helpful. Hope your errands are quick this morning.

Lyn, dressers and small lamps are my new thing. I see a dresser and think how I could make it mine with a little elbow grease. enjoy painting day with your little girl.

Jana, not sure I would do well with a CAD system. I pretty much just stick something someplace and decide if I like it there. Kind of willy nilly, Michael wouldn't do well here because of that. After having my flooring installed I do wish I had gotten something a bit thicker. but it's only me and will be good enough for now.

Well, guess at 11:15 I should have some breakfast. Then it will be time to sweep and mop that floor, and I may even give the trees a shot of water.

I made a zucchini torte yesterday and it will be dinner again tonight with a leftover bbq'd hamburger patty.

You all have a great day,
Chriss

Tina, my dad's house was pretty bad before I hired the house keeper. When my brother was alive, I couldn't spend any time up there because we didn't get along. So I just hired someone. I'm glad I did, because I don't have time to do everything. It's a lot of work taking care of your own house and then your dads too. I still do a lot of things up there and am slowly getting drawers and cabinets cleaned. They are quiet packed with stuff.

Judi and Maryz, I too want to make a New York beauty. I also want to make a Feathered star quilt one of these days as well.

Maryz, the sound of the surf is wonderful anytime. So soothing. Enjoy.

Jana, that sounds like a great program to have.

Maryq, I vote for sewing a bit.

Val, sounds like you are getting everything ready to retire. Working one job will be so much better for you. I bet you are looking forward to seeing the kids.

Sharona, I think all puppies are cute and fun. I just love puppy breath.

Diane, good to hear DH is doing well.

Lois, I need to have someone work their magic on my hair. I think I'll go get it cut this morning. Thanks for the reminder.

Chriss, you snuck in there. It's only 1027 hear. Is NorCal an hour ahead of SoCal. lol

Same old thing her. Cleaning, taking care of dad, and maybe a little sewing. Our weather is wonderful again.

Dinner will be tater tots and burgers on the grill.

Have a lovely day.

Update on Jonah - he's home. The brain bleed the Dr was worried about, stopped on it's own. A good thing! There's a small bit of cognitive issues, but very minor. So they are working on those. Thanks for the prayers, they always work!

Home from a run to Costco - beware they have Christmas out! And some very cute decorations! One set of Santa's jumped in my cart. Some really cute big ornaments for a table scape almost did, but I resisted, for the time being. You are warned! LOL!
