Supper Club. Wed Nov 8

Post by purrfect-lady » Wed Nov 08, 2023 6:07 am

Good morning,

A long drive yesterday, and we found a spot out on desert BLM land. Nice to sit and relax and watch the sunset. And listen to the coyotes howl all night. And the dog bark at them. All night. Today will be much shorter run and we will be in an official campground but no hook ups. That’s fine. We bring our own power and water. Temps near 80*.

Becca, sorry you didn’t find much at the thrift shop sale. Hope you can get to the good one downtown one day soon.

A few minutes ago, I asked Bill what he might like for supper tonight. His response, “gosh, I don’t know. Check the forum.” Not seeing a whole lot of ideas here so I checked the freezer instead. I have a couple packages of frozen chili, so I’ll take one out to thaw while we drive today.

What sounds good to everybody else?

Good morning all 🌞
I guess I didn't post yesterday, don't know what happened there.
Yesterday was Holly and Easton's birthdays, they came over about 6:30 and I gave Holly her gifts, she loved them so I couldn't keep them for me LOL I also made a pecan pie, it's hers and Easton's favorite so they were happy.
Mary, I'm glad you have that watch dog but gosh he needs to learn Mom and Dad need some sleep. He'll sleep all day and just won't understand how you could possibly be tired LOL goofy guy.
That's a gorgeous pic! 😍
I've been thinking about making chile rellenos and tonight just might be the night. We're going to start doing a major cooling down tomorrow and we have chances of rain tomorrow and Friday.

Good Morning,

Maryz - Beautiful picture! You must be enjoying the dry, warm weather.

Yesterday I started quilting a Tennessee Waltz, last evening I decided I didn't like my plan. Today I will rip out 4 blocks, only one is completed. I have a new plan.

Last night I made a BC recipe for Vegetable and Wild Rice Soup. It was hard to find the wild rice, but we did. The soup was very good. I probably should make half the recipe though.

Mary, the coyotes must have been having a party in the desert. Scottie just wanted in on the fun. Hope you are able to get some sleep tonight.

Carol, bummer you have to rip out stitches. At least you caught it early.

Tina, I love a good pecan pie too. Glad Holly liked her gift.

Becca, hope you enjoyed the music.

We had chili for dinner.

Sleep well
