I'm glad this is the last of September. My fingers have been trying to type October for the past two weeks. They seem in a rush for winter to get here!
Yesterday I finished up Lemur and posted a photo. Then I cleaned my sewing room and ran up to the hospital to visit my friend, Carol. She went home late yesterday with a knee scooter and will have in-home help for a few weeks. She's doing OK. I talked to my sister and she and her hubby are not. Tina is down with a severe back, may need surgery, and is waiting for dr's order for an MRI. XR's aren't sounding good. And her hubby, Al, hurt his shoulder and is seeing dr on Tuesday. They are supposed to be meeting us in Texas in 6 weeks. That may not happen. They are 80 and 86, though both very youthful. Tina is the sister who fell and shattered her knee cap 3 yrs ago when we were in Texas together. We cancelled the rest of our trip and helped them back to Colorado that year. In frozen January.
Bill had an eye appt yesterday afternoon and he needs cataract surgery. Dr says he can put it off until we came home from Texas in February but he shouldn't be doing any night or rainy driving. This is a bit scary for us because he is legally blind in his right eye so if anything goes wrong with his left eye, he has no back-up eye. They will do the blind eye first. Funny - our friend, Tex, also had eye appt yesterday and he also has to have cataract surgery.
Today's plan is to do laundry and to make a few blocks for Oct lotto. It sounds interesting and I can never resist interesting challenges. And I will start getting my head and fabrics organized to start Unicorn. Like Lemur, it calls for mostly solid fabrics. I don't have a lot of them so I need to take stock and might have to augment my supply. I looked for them at Trains my last couple visits but they were sold out.
TINA - well, did you get your quilt top finished before the kids arrived? I'm excited for your quilts. At the rate you are going, you will have them all finished in no time! How long does it take you to quilt a quilt?
BECCA - sorry you don't like sauces and gravies. Unfortunately, I love them. And they love me and like to stay with me.

LORI - that sewing room tour sounds really interesting. I'm curious to hear what you thought of it and if you got some good ideas you can share with us. Not sure what anyone would get from touring my little sewing room other than ideas on how to cram a lot into a small space, I guess.

I pulled a meatloaf out of the freezer so we will be having that and potatoes and probably a salad. Maybe a veggie to be named, too.
What will all y'all be having?
