SUPPER CLUB - Saturday, July 8th

Post by purrfect-lady » Sat Jul 08, 2023 6:04 am

Good morning,

Yesterday was cooler but still nice. I wouldn't mind a rainy day to freshen things up, but until that comes along, I'll enjoy our nice weather and be grateful for it.

I didn't do much yesterday except quilt my OWL. I'm more than halfway. Maybe I'll get it finished today. We are having another BBQ on Monday but with a different crowd. So there will be other things to do on Sunday and Monday to get ready for that.

TINA - sorry you are still so hot. My phone weather shows you to be about 104* with 50% chance of T-storms every single day for the next ten days at least. Ugh!! I'm so happy that you got A/C last year and I hope it's holding up under the load.

BECCA - thinking of you today. I know it's a hard day for you. I'm so glad you have so much family with you. (((Hug!)))

CAROL - We are doing big pork tenderloins on the barbie on Monday so tomorrow we will brine them. Thank you again for your recipe for that! It does make a difference!

Last night we ended up having teriyaki chicken breasts on the grill. We always split one and save one for another meal. So tonite I'm going to chop it up, add the leftover rice pilaf and a bunch of veggies for a one pot meal. And I have just enough lettuce left for a salad. Tomorrow - back to the grocery store for more fresh stuff.

What's in your pot for tonite's supper?

Mary, the Alpaca farm was wonderful. Thanks for recommending it.

I'm having a great time in Sister's.
The quilts are going up now. Will head out to see them soon.

Don't know what's for dinner.

Have a lovely day.

Hi you all!
Mary, your OWL turned out purrfect! Can you posts close ups of your quilting though please?
We only show between 2%-15% chance of rain, sadly nothing has shown up.
Our small AC lost the freon which it isn't supposed to do, I read up on it yesterday. So I'm having a local guy come check it out since this is its 3rd time of losing the freon. I really don't trust the company that installed it, I wish I had an attorney in the family.
Lori, I saw your picks with the Alpacas on Facebook, too cute!
I made tostadas tonight for supper.
We hit 106° today on the weather thing but here we were 109° crazy!
Holly's puppy isn't doing good with them being gone so they're on their way back home.

Good Evening,

I had a great time at the Long Beach Quilt Festival! It was bigger than last year with more vendors. Still missing a few. The classes I took were wonderful!!

Dinner tonight was scrambled eggs with onions, peppers and turkey sausage. We also had some fruit and toast.

Maryz- Did you get the quilting done on the OWL today?

Tina - You are too hot to be without an air conditioner. Hope it is repaired soon!

Becca - I have thought about you today. It isn't easy. Prayers and blessings to you and your family.

Jana - Glad you have a few days before Michael comes home to adjust the house to just the two of you.

I have not been sewing just working on getting ready for a trip to Monterey. We leave on Monday.

Carol
