SUPPER CLUB - Monday, June 26th
Good morning,
Having some nice weather here. Warm enough to be out in shorts and tee but not too hot. Ideal! I did one small load of wash and hung it out to dry. I let Old Sol do the drying for me while I made some lotto blocks. Then I finished sewing the buttons on my OWL project. It's ready to assemble. As usual in summer, we spent the evening on our deck and watched Indiana Jones and Temple of Doom on the
TV out there. That movie is 39 years old! We won't talk about how old Harrison Ford is now.
BECCA - the grounds where you live sound quite lovely. I hope strolling them is good for your BP.
LORI - I hope you got out to dinner last night. What did you have? Cat and dog hair is a standard here, too. In my sewing room, in our bed, on our clothes, in our food. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Last night we ended up having frozen Philly cheesesteak sandwiches and coleslaw. These sandwiches are some my sister bought at Costco and she left two in our freezer. Bill wanted to try them. . . We will get even with my sister one day when she's least expecting it. Double ick!
So tonite, I think I'll make pesto penne pasta. I like to add black beans to it rather than a meat. I'll toss in some frozen peas, too, as we're out of fresh veggies right now and I don't feel like going to the store. It will be a one pot meal.
You have any good ideas for tonite?

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Monday, June 26th
Good Morning,
I made a large pot of 15 bean soup yesterday. It was a slow-pot recipe from BC. I had searched for bean soup and found it. That was dinner yesterday and will again be dinner tonight.
Maryz - I think RV was supposed to be TV?? Congratulations on finishing your OWL top. I saw a Kimberbell embellishment kit for fall is on sale today. There was an article in Parade magazine yesterday about Indianna Jones movies. I am not a fan and did not read it.
Becca - I agree, walking outside lowers your bp. Enjoy your time outside.
Lori - So what did you have for dinner?
Not much going on. I have finished applique work on the Halloween quilt and need to do some embroidery. I have one border left on the quilt for Intra-Guild. Hopefully I will finish that today. There is another quilt I need to baste and maybe I will get that done today. I have an appointment for the car tomorrow to have the oil changed and will take along some hand work.

Good morning everyone
I had a headache all day yesterday and didn't make it here. I'm better this morning.
Mary, did you see Harrison Ford is doing another Indiana Jones movie? That's a pretty action packed movie for someone his age even though he doesn't do his own stunts.
Guess those frozen philly steak and cheese sandwiches weren't a keeper LOL
Becca, your walk by the lake sounds so soul refreshing ❤
Lori, I hope your dinner out happened and you enjoyed it.
Carol, I don't seem to remember what Halloween quilt your doing....
I think supper tonight will be philly steak and cheese sandwiches but the ones I make not frozen LOL.
We're going to be at least 108° today, yesterday was 104°. I have a chiropractor appointment at 10 and think we'll go to the grocery store and fabric store while we're out before the heat hits. I need to find a little bit of the white/ light batik fabric for July lotto.

Tina, headaches are no fun. Glad yours is gone. I woke up with one, but it went away.
I think it was sinus related.
Becca, I hope your rotary cutter shows up. I have several and still manage not to find one.
Mary, the OWL quilt has a lot of little things on it. I think that's why I like it so much. Bummer about the house next door. I sure hope they don't cut down all the trees. I hate when they clear out land to build.
It takes so long for the vegetation to come back. I seen some developments where they leave tree and work around them. The way it should be. I'll be doing a few lotto blocks too.
Carol, what it Intra-Guild quilt?
Yes, we went out to dinner with the kids. I just had a bleu cheese wedge salad, and lobster bisque soup. It was the perfect amount of food.
I've been putting away fabric. My pile got high enough. Will finish up cleaning the sewing room. Tonight I will visit North Cities quilt guild to see Leah Zeiber. I seen her speak before, and really liked her.
Don't know what dinner will be yet.
Have a lovely day.
