It's a pretty, if chilly morning here. But the rooster next door is loving it! And he wants the world to know it!

Yesterday was quietly busy. In early morning I finished my June OWL 12" block. Then we all went to Costco - and yes, it turned into a date! They guys ate hotdogs and we girls had a slice of pizza. When we got home, I sorted out what went into the trailer, the pantry, and the overflow pantry. Which meant the pantries (and the fridge, too!) had to be cleaned and straightened up and the "stock" rotated. My sis was doing the same thing in her trailer pantry and prepping food for their return trip. I think she is anxious to be on the road to home. She gets antsy after a time. They arrived here May 20. On Monday, June 5, we all leave for Yakima with 3 other RV couples for a wine tasting trip. They will stay there with us for 3 nights and then start for home June 8th. They will have 3 more nights on the road before they get home June 11th. We will be in Yakima for 4 nights, returning home June 9th. It's a 4-hr drive for us and a 4-DAY drive for Al & Tina.
Today, Tina is borrowing my Maytags. I'll be working on my 6" June blocks while she does laundry. Then, this afternoon, we're all going out for "lupper" to the new Irish Pub here in town. We haven't tried it yet so I hope it's good. It's been 3 different restaurants in the past, though the menu never seems to change much. Sandwiches, burgers, pizza, chicken strips, etc. You know - diet food.

TINA - having a stove with a feature you can't use doesn't seem like much of a feature to me! I hope the lemon treatment works for you. Do you line the oven bottom with heavy duty foil to catch drips? I do that plus, if I'm baking anything that might bubble over I put it on a foil lined baking sheet. Sadly, when I made scalloped potatoes last week I forgot to to do that.
JANA - I'm with you on old fashioned #2 pencils! I keep several of them, sharpened, in my sewing room. They are the best! My sis, too. We also love the smell of a new box of crayons. Best gift I ever gave her was a box of office supplies which included pencils, crayons, and a pack of yellow tablets. Did you get your OWL block traced yesterday? What month are you starting with?
BECCA - Today is moving day for you. I know it's going to be bittersweet but I hope you have many happy years in this new stage of your life.
CAROL - I loved school, too, yet the last day of the year was The Best! I made good use of summer vacations. Our favorite Italian restaurant always served spinach but have switched to arugula because, the waiter whispered to us, it's cheaper. I like both but Bill doesn't like it at all because of the peppery flavor.
LORI - My pictures never even go onto the computer. They are in my phone and go directly onto Q when I post a photo with Photoimage. When we print pictures, we upload them to Costco. I'm working completely from my stash, too for OWL. It does take a little more time, but that's OK. I'm in no hurry and pulling fabrics is one of my favorite parts of quilting. I only ordered 1/2 yd cuts of each focus fabric, which turned out to be way more than I needed.
I'm not sure what supper will be tonite. We'll go mid to late afternoon - hence, "lupper". To the new Irish Pub about a mile from our house. My sis and dbil are treating.

What's happening on your plate tonite?
