Well, our warm weather is gone. We had a nice thunderstorm last night and enjoyed it while sitting out on the deck. No rain. Thunder doesn't happen here very often so we call it "entertainment". (and I'm just now hearing more thunder this morning!) Today we'll be back in the 50's again for at least another week so I'm done in the yard for now. Whew. My back needed a rest. I gave my chiropractor a good workout yesterday and today, my massage therapist. You see - I've got my best people on the job!

CAROL - I hope your hubby gets off jury duty if he wants off. But I would think it would be interesting. I've been rejected twice. Our good friend served on a 5-week murder trial a few years ago. He found it interesting and the perp was found guilty. Once, we were gone for 3 months and Vicki next door got our mail. (this was before she had gone totally 'round the bend) Fortunately, she saved all the trash mail in a separate basket and in there I found a jury summons for me - long out of date! I called, explained what happened, and they laughed and said no big deal. But that's when we finally got a private mail box at the UPS store.
IRISH - We traveled the entire length of the PA Turnpike back in 1997. We well remember the potholes! And the hubcap shops along the way. They picked up hubcaps by night and sold them by day. And we know they got one of ours!! So how big is your lawn that Kevin brings a tractor to mow it?! I was thinking a little postage stamp place. Maybe we need some pictures . . . . You are going to have such a good time up on that mountain! Electricity or not. Have fun!
JANA - I hope your dishwasher(s) behave and no leaky surprises! Neat that you have flamingos. I only have one and he looks lonely, standing in my small field of crocosmia. At least you don't have to spend days doing yard work - yet .
BECCA - it's fun to contemplate and begin to prepare for your new home. Pretty new things to make it your own will be nice. Have you ever lived by yourself before? I don't think I have.
LORI - no, hamburger buns aren't hard to make at all. Sort of like making bread. They are a little more dense than store-bought. Judi gave me her recipe and she says they freeze quite nicely. I would be happy to share with you.
I made those buns yesterday and also a small potato salad to have with hamburgers. The burgers are gone, the buns are frozen, and we still have half a bowl of potato salad left. So we'll grill again tonite - chicken - and add a green salad, too.
How about you?
