SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, April 16th

Post by purrfect-lady » Sun Apr 16, 2023 7:10 am

Good morning,

I think I got the date correct today. It's always early when I type this post and yesterday, I think I was living in the past.

It's going to be a cold, rainy day. In fact, we have a week of chilly temps and rain ahead of us, so if you are in the path of our weather patterns, buckle up!

Yesterday was Costco and a couple other errands. $300 can sure go fast in Costco! I bought two sets of four pretty pasta bowls, and Bill got a 10'x10' "curtain" of white lights that we put out on the deck when we got home. That took us an hour and a half as our deck is high and he had to get the extension ladder to put the hooks way to the top of the beams. But it looks so pretty - like a waterfall of white lights along the entire side of the deck. Provides privacy from the neighbors, too. In the afternoon I played a little with my January OWL pattern. Pulled a few fabrics and made the background. I think I'll play with that some more today and also work some on the shirt I cut out on Friday. And the hamper is starting to snarl at me, so I guess it's time to do the Maytag Mambo, too.

LORI - I liked that English Breakfast - though I really liked them all! I know you'll have fun doing it. You have fun with everything!

CAROL - I bet your DGN is a cutie! At the age where they can start sitting up, know people, and giggle! like the sound of a baseball game. It means summer to me. But to sit and watch, we both fall asleep. lol!

Since the next few days are going to be downright cold and wet, I'm making a big crockpot full of soup. Chicken/veggie/rice. And, because we have the veggies now after shopping yesterday, I think I'll also make salads. I'm even considering biscuits though neither of us should eat them. So we'll see how that goes. . .

What are you thinking about making?

Hi everyone.
Oh, Maryz, what a beautiful baby picture you shared. And Wow, the Lotto winning quilt blocks go perfectly together. Love the way you arranged everything.
Supper tonight is a result of some left over Easter Ham that was shared from a neighbor lady last week. She gave it me frozen. Yesterday I had it with baked beans and potatoes. Now tonight is what was left of our left over ham. LOL. I cut it all up into our baked beans. I will serve some fruit and cookies for dessert.
I cleaned up my sewing room yesterday and am taking a rest from all sewing for this week. After that I will start the graduation "golf theme" quilt. We have lots of appointments this week and I thought it was a great time to take a breather.
Hugs all around. I know I have kinda been MIA.
Miss you all!!
HUGS, 💕 Vel

Vel, ham sounds yummy. I need to get one and make some Ham dishes.

Mary, I made a couple cups to see how they looked. They are pretty darn cute. I too need to do laundry. Tomorrow.

I've almost got all the stems and leaves stitched down. The butterfly rows are together. So I just need the flower sashing. I think I'll send this one out for quilting.

Dinner was a bowl of Cheerios.

Sleep well.
