SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, Feb 9th

Post by purrfect-lady » Thu Feb 09, 2023 6:56 am

Good morning,

We might actually be a warm (55*) and sunny day today! Days like this make me want to get all our deck cushions out again, but I know that would be a mistake. Too soon.

Yesterday was another chiro appt. He is working on my hands and wrists and they are so much better after just 2 treatments! Even the swelling has gone down some! I go again tomorrow. My afternoon was spent in the kitchen. I figured as long as I was making chicken pot pies, I might as well make cookies, too. (oatmeal Craisin). And in between timer dings I got the last few tree blocks finished in Bigfoot. I'll lay them out on the floor this morning and figure out how many Bigfoot blocks I want to make. And this evening we're taking lasagna to our grandson's house in Bremerton and picking up our house plants. It's just frozen lasagna from Costco, but it's really pretty good! We'll leave leftovers with him which I know he'll like.

JANA - sounds like Daniel made an impressive impression. I hope the teacher improves. Perhaps she chose the wrong career path for herself . . .

VELDA - did all go well with eye appt? We're going out dancing tomorrow night. Haven't really been on a dance floor for about a year. I better take some Ibuprofen before I go! lol!

BECCA - 69* and sunshine! That has to be good to feel the warmth on your face when you are out walking! Glad you are getting things squared away - eyes, ears, and pants!

CAROL - glad you had such a good time at DCA. It's said to be a happy place! :D I was in a rush with the Bigfoot quilt because I wanted it done for when our friend picked up his new 'home'. But then that date got shoved off two weeks but not before I got most of the blocks finished. So now there's more time and I've slowed my roll. Which is good because the rest of our February is taken up with all kinds of appts, dates, dinners, and even a couple parties.

Tonite will be the lasagna. I also have some crusty french garlic bread to go with. Tomorrow, we'll get back to the leftover chix pot pie. What are you having for supper tonite?

Good Morning,

It is going to be quite warm here today then really cool off for the weekend. Sorry for those who work will not be able to enjoy the day today.

I will be doing a little laundry today and a little house cleaning and some sewing. Definitely going for a nice long walk. Tonight, is Speaker Series. She is a National Geographic photographer so looking forward to hearing her.

Maryz - Have you already quilted the little ghost quilt? I see you want to embroider a face, so it is good to do it before quilting. You are making me think I need to find a chiropractor that will work on my hands. My hands are so sore, but so is my back and hips. I went to the gym and worked out on back machines on Sunday, and it really helped my back and hips. Maybe I will try to go today. Enjoy your dinner with your grandsons.

Velda - Hope the eye appointment went well.

Carol

Becca, hope you had a nice walk on the trail. Did you get a book at the library?

Carol, yes, we are having some nice weather. All the doors and window are open. I'm loving it.

Mary, what happened to your hands? Did you do something?

Yesterday I went to help our guild with philanthropy. We made up kits with a quilt top, backing and binding.
The lady in charge said she would do the batting later. To bulky to bring out.

Today had been a cleaning day. I did get some fabric dyed for the back of my log cabin. I bought 6 yards of fabric yesterday, and then realized it wasn't enough. So off to Joann's to buy 108 inch muslin. Fabric is ready to use. Will try and get the quilt layered tomorrow.

Dinner will be chicken on the grill, with potatoes and a veggie.

Have a lovely evening.

Jana, I'm glad Daniel was able to clear a few things up. There's nothing worse than a bad teacher. It can ruin an education for a child.
