36* here. Brrrr!! I will be bundling up to walk this morning.
Yesterday I got my hair chopped. SHORT. But a really nice style that I think looks good on me. Scottie is looking good in his new do, too! After we got home I finished up those quilt stockings. At least all I'm going to do for now - 21 of them. I'll drop them off at my massage therapist this morning. Then I will clean my sewing room and we'll be off to Costco for a couple of items and then other grocery stores to go looking for some things Autumn wants but can't find in Austin. Like Nalleys dill pickles. She didn't say anything about ice cream.

JANA - Foxy gets a just a teaspoon of wet food morning and evening. Woe be tide if I were ever to forget! After his 'breakfast' he wants me to follow him to the sewing room where is dish of dry food is, watch him eat, and then hang around while he jumps into his basket and gets settled for his first nap of the day. He can get very impatient with me if I take to long with the forum so sometimes I just take my computer into the sewing room. It's just easier to give in. I'm too old to fight with a cat. As for baby themes, it's not my job to figure out nursery themes. There is already one baby quilt to go under the tree - the mini Nutcracker that will be a surprise to Autumn. Then the little ghost quilt but that will probably be for shower or birth. We'll see how everything else goes. I think the kids are still so stunned that they are finally pregnant that they are afraid to make too many plans too soon.
TINA - when I'm recovering from a cold if I get to doing too much physical stuff it starts my coughing up again. So maybe it was just being more active that was causing you to cough rather than simply being outside. . .
CAROL - do you walk every day? I've been walking every morning for about 25 years. I started out 2-3 miles but now I usually do 1-2, depending on where I walk. I'm out there as soon as it's light. If I don't do it first thing, I don't do it at all. Hope all was good with your dr appt.
BECCA - yes, I guess you all know me better than I know myself! lol! The stockings are done - except for the extras I think I can get out of what's left of that old quilt. They WILL be set aside for next spring. This old quilt was fragile and I suspect some of those stockings will be needing to be replaced in a year or so, so they will have some extras ready and waiting - next year.
JANA - what a brilliant idea!! Old beans for blind baking! I never gave it a thought. Too late now, though. My beans are gone.
LORI - I have the Pellon and will fuse it on today. I will let you know how it goes. I might start the actual embroidery tonite. I've been focused on the stocking mission the last few days. I had to get them finished because David is leaving tomorrow for vacation and we'll be gone when he returns.
Last night, after a full day and then glued to election returns, I didn't want to leave the big TV and cozy fire downstairs to go upstairs to cook so Bill made a salad and we popped a frozen mac & cheese from Costco into the oven. OMG, that was delicious! Better than my homemade, and my homemade is good. And there's enough for another night. But tonite, I think we'll have chicken fried rice - and salad. Got to eat up our salad makings. Tomorrow night will be pork chops and leftover mac & cheese.
What's cookin' at your house?
