Supper Club - Saturday, Dec 12
Good morning,
Well, yesterday took a left turn! I thought it would be a sew-all-day kind of day. Then Autumn texted. Could we come to quiche brunch and help decorate the tree? And bring a tree? So off we went shopping. Normally I would have been At the store when it opened but Bill wanted to do his Zoom exercise class first which meant we did not leave until after 11 AM. We went to 5 different stores over 4 hours looking for different things. But found a gorgeous noble fir, ingedients for a fruit salad, Mimosas, and a few decorations. Then we also stopped at a quilt shop. My sewing cupboard was getting quite bare. I picked up Elizabeth Hartman’s gnome pattern, norm & Nannette, And a bunch of fat quarters. On clearance mostly. Autumn texted me again just as we were parking the truck at the Quilt Shop. She asked if I had any more Christmas masks as the four I gave her went over big with her staff. Perfect timing! So I bought five Christmas fabrics and started in making mire masks late yesterday afternoon. I will finish Them this morning before we go to her house
Lori, yes I did see Jen KingWells new pattern. Just yesterday as a matter of fact. For now I think I will pass on that one. I did 2 Gypsy Wife ( Dancer) and could see myself doing another one some day.
Becca, are you ready for Christmas now? Do you have another week long family celebration planned?
Jana, waiting to hear how Sarah feels this morning. Sounds like all went well. Your midnight meat run Sounded like The opening scenes of a TV action movie
So, we are having quiche, salad, fruit, and mimosas about 1:30. My guess is that will hold us over and we won’t have a full dinner. If not, I have a can of Campbell’s chunky soup in the pantry.
What’s your plan?

Mary, have a fun day with Autumn. Tree decorating is always fun with others.
Jana, how's Sarah? How was the dinner Ethan made?
Becca, I know it's crazy to think that my parents don't leave their house at all. In todays world you can have everything delivered. And if they can't they call me and I get it for them. I also take their dog to the vet and groomers. Whatever they need I'm just down the street.
Well I took my machine in for repair. Hopefully it won't take too long. He has been super busy. I guess everyone is sewing these days and breaking their machines. I pulled out my Bernina. I just had it serviced, but it's acting up. Will only do straight stitches. I was trying to monogram something, and it get half way done and got to straight stitch. Maybe it's time for a new back up machine.
We had baked potatoes with chili last night, so we'll have the chicken tonight.
Have a lovely day.

Good afternoon!
Been cleaning track for the train this last while. Kind of like polishing the silver. Don't own silver, but brass track oxidizes and I have a special cleaning block that runs on the rail to polish it shiny. Not for looks, but electrical contact so the train can go round and round.
Sarah is doing well. Sleepy, but feeling better. Ethan got to talk to her for a few minutes this morning.
Not much else here. Dinner is leftovers. Ethan thought he was going to eat said leftovers for lunch, not. There's enough for dinner.
Stay Safe!
Hugs,
Jana
