Supper Club, Friday, Nov 20

Post by purrfect-lady » Fri Nov 20, 2020 4:55 am

Good morning,

We made it to Deming yesterday by about 1:30. It’s 10°Cooler here and much more comfortable. We did get to see Tina and Frankie and Jasmine. They came by our campsite for a quick, well distanced visit and we swapped our berries and chilies. Today we have about 221 miles to go. I’m glad our travel days are short so we can stop and get the air turned on before the trailer gets too hot. Foxy did come out of his little fox hole come evening. He ate food and drank some water that I put in there. He moves slowly and seems hesitant to jump up on anything, like he hurts. But he slept on the bed all night and is sitting on my lap this morning. My sister, traveling through northern New Mexico, says she has a sick dog. Will be comparing sick animal Notes when we meet up in Austin

Jana, I am excited for Sarah to have her basement finished. How will they be texturing the walls? Just blowing it on themselves? I know there are tools to do that. Have you heard anything from or about Stu? Or Sandee?

Carol, how is your new kitty doing? I bet she is loving her new forever home. That’s probably why she was running around so much joy just overflowed!

Tina, it was good to see you yesterday. I have to say, you look like you lost a noticeable amount of weight! Thank you for the Chili’s. Thank you for coming by. Bill was happy not to have to unhitch and level the trailer

Becca, how many pairs of shoes now?

I think tonight’s supper is going to be Rice-A-Roni with the second half of our kielbasa sliced and added. And Peas or lima beans added in, too. I do the prep work inside and Bill does the cook work outside. And we almost always eat outside since the weather has been so good.

Have you got any ideas about supper yet?

Good afternoon!

Mary - even if it is a distance apart, you got to meet with Tina! A good trade, chili's and berries! Glad to hear Foxy is a bit better.

I am stealing a bit of Mary's idea for dinner. Her rice a roni, but mine will be with chicken. A veggie to be named later.

We are picking up groceries - milk and eggs later this afternoon. Sewing and fixing Gracie's doll. Lila loves this doll, so I know the one I make for her will be loved too. They will be easy to tell apart as Gracie's has brown hair and since Lila is a blonde, her doll will be blonde too. They will share clothes. The tear is in the front and about 2 inches long.

So not much more around here. Aaron is trying to out decorate Clark Griswold from Christmas Vacation. Keeps calling , checking on how many strings of lights he can hook together. Thank goodness, his house isn't that big across the frontyard!

Hugs,
Jana

Maryz - Kitty is doing fine. When we manage to pick her up she can't get enough. She has slept on my lap a couple of times for an hour or more. However, she doesn't rub our legs and she runs away when we try to pick her up. We literally have to trap her to get her to allow us to pick her up. Any suggestions???

Jana - Glad Sarah's basement is almost completed.

Becca - That bread must be awesome. We just took the second loaf of wheat from the freezer so it is time I made bread.

Tina - How are the berries? Are you going to make a pie for Thanksgiving?

Tonight's dinner will be real macaroni and cheese and probably something else.

Mary, lucky you getting to meet up with Tina. Even if it was at a distance.

Carol, one of my cats took 10 years before she would sit on my lap. She's 15 and I think she realized she was missing out. She's still kind of cranky though.

I'm making a tamale and I just opened up a wonderful bottle of red from a vineyard in Temecula.

Have a lovely evening
