Cooler this morning - 51* - but the day is supposed to be 75* with 80* looming later in the week, so no complaints here. Yesterday was productive. I got one quilt quilted, 2 bindings made, and one quilt bound. Then Bill put one of my plaid/animal swap tops on the frame and made one pass with his pine cone pattern. Each pass takes 45 minutes, and this quilt will take a total of 8 passes. He hadn't updated his Q-bot for a long time so that took another 2 hours before he could even start sewing. So this will take a while. But the 'Queue' is down to 3 after this one that's on the frame now. Other than sewing, I mopped all the floors, cleaned the fridge, and packed all my clothes for our trip, plus all our drinks - waters, pop, beer, coffee, tea, mocha mix, etc. And organized the under-bed storage.
Today - I have another quilt to bind and a short trip to grocery store. We have been invited to a new friend's place at 5pm for campfire and sandwiches and I'm to take a veggie platter. So I need veggies and ingredients for my horseradish veggie dip. Then I'll need to clean and cut veggies and make the dip. That will be my day, for the most part.
If I have any extra time, I will make another block or two on my baking quilt. Turns out that will be a great gift for Alec - he called us the other day to say he got his own place and he also got a promotion at work. He's a baker and now he's not just the Muffin Man (as he called himself) but he's doing everything - croissants, pies, cakes, wedding cakes, and more. He gets to help plan the menu list and experiment with his own recipes. He's excited because baking is his passion. So I think he will really love my Kimberbell "We Whisk You a Merry Christmas" quilt which has cookies, aprons, Kitchenaids, rolling pins, cannisters, etc appliqued all over it! I have one 6'x8" block done. lol!
TINA - I imagine the vet wanted to try everything else first for your poochies before introducing a med with possible side effects. Also, it may be expensive. Are the dogs more itchy in hot weather? I know heat can do it to humans . . . .
JANA - I hope all goes purrfectly for Sarah in her new trailer! Mystery freezer meals. We've had plenty of those! lol! I try to remember to label everything, too, but don't always. I had to laugh when you said 'leftover catfood'. haha! There is no such thing here. Foxy gets 1 small spoon for his breakfast and 1 small spoon for his supper. And Scottie gets to lick the spoon. The rest of the time Fox eats dry. I grew up with chickens, but don't really remember feeding them much. But chicken people tell me they eat practically everything - but shouldn't have onions. It's fun feeding them all our veggie trimmings.
LORI - Are your quilts going with you to Utah? I'm slowed down now that Bill has one on the frame and is using Q-bot. Not only is the machine slower with a pattern, but so is Bill.

Our dinner is going to be Subway sandwiches, veggies, and brownies. The place we are going is new to us. A single guy (widowed about 5 yrs ago but now has a girlfriend, though she lives in Chicago). He is a friend of our friends so we've met him a few times before and he's been to our house a couple of times. He's invited us and our mutual friends over for campfire, sandwiches, and maybe shooting. He's a gun instructor and Bill and our other friend are gun enthusiasts. Should be an interesting evening.
What's your plan for tonite?
