Today will be our warmest day since last Sept - 65* and sunny. Purrfect! I plan to spend a lot of it outside, working in the yard. I ran out of elastic to make more masks. But local facilities aren't returning my phone messages of offers of masks so I'm not too concerned. They must have enough. I've made almost 300 total, given away about 180. Another 100 are going to the Veterans home today and I'm keeping 8 in case a small need shows up. If I need more, I'll make more using ties, though I have an order of elastic in which will probably arrive just when the crunch is over. News reports are that our state's hospitals are now in good shape to handle everything. And the stay-at-home/social distancing is working well here in WA! All good news.
More good news (for our family, anyway), Yesterday Marge ate a little bit. I told Gene that was his anniversary gift. And he sent a photo of a red fox in the snow outside their dining room window (where he dumps his cooking failures). And Bill's sister is doing extremely well after her surgery and might get to go home today.
JANA - a real bummer about your stove. Though I've heard of people baking in their crockpots - especially bread. Do you have a toaster oven of any size? The handle on our microwave broke. Turns out you can't just buy a handle, but have to get a whole new door and that cost more than a new micro! Ridiculous!
LORI - if you ever decide to, say, take an Alaskan cruise and need a place to park a vehicle and your fur babies, I'll take them! You just might not ever get them back!
BECCA - we have a friend who had to go get Rx's yesterday. I was telling him about how you are able to drive thru most of your errands. He had no idea those services were available so he was going to look into it.
ROSEBUD - Did you buy your sandwiches or make them? They sound delish!
Chickie texted me that she is deep into making masks and surgical bonnets for the hospital where her DS's girlfriend works. She made for the GF, everybody loved them, and sent her a bunch of fabric and now she's kind of a one-woman factory.
I haven't heard from Irish for several days, but I'm sure still settling into her new home. And the virus is gathering momentum in her area so she's determined to stay home.
Last I heard from Tina, she was making masks for Holly's co-workers.
Tonite's supper is going to be teriyaki chicken on the grill, rice pilaf, saute'd "super greens", and sliced tomatoes. And we have chocolate cake for dessert, not that we need THAT!

What's on your menu for tonite?
