SUPPER CLUB - Monday, Dec 23rd
Good morning,
Looks like we are in for a streak of somewhat dry weather for most of the week. Hooray! We've been watching it closely as our RV shelter arrives Thursday and it will be erected on Friday. I hope our back yard has dried out some by then because we need it to maneuver the trailer into the shelter. We don't want to be sinking up to our hubs in mud! Maybe we'll just leave the trailer in front of the shop and park the truck in the shelter . . . We MAY be going on a short camping trip to the ocean in January. No sense parking and then having to un-park 2 weeks later.
I ordered the pattern for the quilt I saw on Pinterest yesterday - Country Charmer. Turns out it's the same quilt Judi made last winter! lol! Good to know she has good taste! I can't wait to get started on that, but I will finish my Scrappy Stars first. Call me crazy, but I've never been one to quit one project because a shiney object shows up. I usually finish one thing before starting another. It's one time my tendency to OCD is a plus!
Our Seahawks lost yesterday. Sigh. But they can't blame it on me! I did my part and wore my shirt and earrings to the very last second of the game! Next week is their last regular season game and they will be playing Jana's Forty-niners. Going to be a good game, no matter who wins.
JANA - are you ready for some football?? I warn you - I've got lucky Seahawk earrings and I know how to use them! I'm glad your hubby had that "golfball" removed. The anxiety of waiting is cruel. The good news is that IF results aren't good, cure rates are nearly 100%! Did you get the last of the doll clothes finished? Don't turn in your baking card! Birds have to eat, too! Does your altitude or the weather affect your outcomes at all? Maybe it's not you. The oven, purrhaps? Or the kids? Maybe they slipped you trick flour for a prank??
TINA - Sorry you were so tired and in pain after your weekend. Hope you got a little rest yesterday. Going to be a busy week!
ROSEBUD - happy 21st to your DGD! Where does she live? I hope you got the last of your sewing finished! I think of you every Christmas when I pull out the little tree skirt for our 2-ft tree that we have in our family room or take in the trailer if we're traveling. You gave me the pattern one year when you were my awesome Secret Santa!
BECCA - not another truck & trailer! Did they do any damage? You may have to put a turnaround in your yard! Were you able to get to the children's program at the church?
We did have homemade chicken noodle soup for supper last night. And we have plenty for lunch today. Supper tonite will be homemade pizza for the boys. One cheese and one pepperoni. With hot fudge sundaes for dessert. And we'll do presents in between the pizza and the sundaes.
It's Christmas Eve Eve! What's YOUR plan?

Good morning!
Mary - I did see that your Seahawks lost. That was a surprise. Did you see that the powers to be in the NFL, moved our game to Sunday night, on NBC? Oh yes, I am ready for the rematch of How the West was Won! It will be a nail biter and my nails are little nubs now!
We are meeting with our attorney this morning to sign the trust and will papers. Taken us this long to read through the document. Lawyer-ease is not easy!
No trick flour or altitude to blame things on, just me! Hope I don't mess up the roasts tomorrow! There would be some sad faces at the dinner table! Like in Boy Scouts, when you do something wrong in handling your knife, you lose a corner of your card that allows you to carry one. I lost several corners of my baking card yesterday! LOL! Just way out of practice.
Wrapping is the plan of the day. We played Santa for Gracie and Lila to help the kids out. So all of those need to be wrapped and Aaron can slip them in his car tomorrow night, so they are under his tree when Santa arrives. The little girls will have something here too, from us, to open and play with on Christmas morning.
Dinner - something easy, tomato soup and griled cheese.
Enjoy,
Jana

Mary z - My DD and DGD live in Tulare, Ca.. Thank you for her birthday wishes. I got one of my Christmas presents finished yesterday. Today I will need to get the last one finished. I got behind because I had a funeral to go to last week (out of town). life is never dull, is it.? I am happy you enjoy your Christmas tree skirt. It gave me much joy in my heart to pull together your gifts for SS that year.
Today supper will be chicken and egg salad sandwich.

Hi everyone!
I don't know if I can bake or not because I keep getting interrupted! I'm sitting outside the dr's office now with 3 kids, I think Holly has the flu big time! She couldn't drive and the other "adult "that lives there wouldn't take her.
So whatever I bake I bake and whatever I get done I get done, I'm not gonna stress over it.
I have no idea what's for supper either LOL I'm a pit of undecided LOL
I hope you all have fun days!
Tina

Oh Tina, I would offer to help, but with my cooking lately all I would do is add to your crisis! I am with you on what gets done gets done and the rest, is as I say, oh well, another day.
Many prayers for yoy,
