Good morning,
Praying any of you in the path of the storms are OK today. Chickie? Mostly, this means you! Though I saw some rough weather was headed for Irish, too.
yesterday I finally got my houseplants repotted. Then I got them all out on our back deck (it's covered and shady) for the summer. My neighbor, Lori, will water them for me while we are gone. I also cleaned and rearranged deck furniture to make this task easier for her. i got everything on my to-do list accomplished yesterday. My Musher's Dream is traced and 75% cut out. It's a continuous pattern so I just cut away the waste and then take the entire 18"x24" scene and lay it out on background fabric and fuse it. Hopefully that will happen today. Also today is a pre-trip groom for Scottie, massage and chiropractor for me, and a cemetery visit. And packing the trailer freezer.
JANA - Happy Anniversary to Matt and Crenda. I think Chickie is right and your kids are wanting a dry motel room to hang out in! lol! And maybe some of Mom's cooking . . . You didn't raise no dummies!
BECCA - you certainly keep busy! You should take some photos of your pretty yard to share with us! I bet you are pleased to have Marty back with you again this week.
CHICKIE - happy anniversry to your kids, too! It's also President kennedy's birthday. I bet you and your neighbor are a sight going down the road with all the dogs! lol! Happy dogs! Have you ever thought about having Doyal replace the door to that old root cellar? Seems like, as weather patterns change and get more and more aggressive, it would be a good idea. Maybe even a better idea to dig a root cellar closer to your house. I have only medium faith that you would be safe in that bathroom.
TINA - I hope when you are on vacation we will be seeing more of you!
I have chili in the crockpot for tonite and then I'll freeze the rest in ziplocks for traveling meals. We might serve it over half a baked potato. Or we might just have it straight, in bowls.
What's your plan?

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Wed, May 29
Good morning from a very sunny, getting so nice and warm, SW. Pa....Other than the storms that paid us a visit, we've had great weather.....we did have rain with all the extras but thank goodness, my area had no damage...
The only problem around here was Baby Girl deciding she wanted to go for a stroll, after dark....She slipped out when I went out to move some the porch furniture...She felt extra brave and wondered off the porch and into the darkness...It took me half an hour to find her, actually going through the yard to the neighbors..I was starting to panic and probably looked like a nut case, out calling "Baby Girl" and shaking the treat container.....She wasn't too happy when I got close enough and grabbed her big bushy tail...When I got her inside and told her how bad she was, she hid her head under a chair in the living room....AND remind me again why I live with this fur baby......
Mary, sounds like you're getting ready to go somewhere, lol....Not sure about you, but I'm more than ready and I promise to behave myself....Isn't it a good feeling to get everything on your "to do" list done? That rarely happens around here but even getting close is a treat....
I was also thinking of Chickie and our Stephan and his wife...Mother Nature is really on a tear this year....I talked to Kathy and they're having terrible weather, rainy and chilly...
Becca, I agree with Mary, we'd love to see pictures of your yard...And of course you on your porch swing....It all just sounds so homey.........
Not sure what all I have on my "list" today...After our long, fun filled breakfast yesterday, my sister wanted to visit the cemetery...Along with all our relatives, she wanted to visit with Cindy...She was very close with Cindy, partners in crime, as she often referred to the 2 of them when they went off to bingo....I keep hearing from friends, how she took care of everyone, made sure everyone was OK...But, in the end, didn't have time to take care of herself......
I did bring home some more plants so hopefully get them planted AND noticed, neighbor, Ted, brought up a couple of his home grown tomato plants for me to stick in the ground....Never lack for something to do but that's OK......
As for dinner, haven't a clue....This might also be "clean the fridg" day so there might be something edible hidden in there somewhere....
You all have a great day........
Happy eating...........

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Wed, May 29
Good afternoon!
Been here in the Batt Cave, with the sun shining in my eyes, whoo-hoo, getting the music selected for our church Sunday services for the next 3 months. I have a spread sheet with all the hymns listed on it, so I can mark off the dates that we have sung that particular hymn, otherwise is would be my favorites all the time, each and every week! I have about 350 hymns in the hymnal to choose from, that spread sheet makes it easy for me.
Dinner - I think, we will pull a Irish - the car know the way, so it will be out!
Working on making the additional length I need for the baby quilt. Just need to cut the sewn strips apart and then resew them back together. Have you ever noticed that we take perfectly good fabric, cut it into pieces and then sew it back together into the big piece again? LOL! Should not take me long to do that.
Mary - departure day is fast approaching. That trip will be so much fun - make sure that you have the jam packed!
Irish - I love the hibiscus that I have in my front garden bed. It is a Rose of Sharon variety and blooms so pretty most of the summer here. I have added 2 clematis vines to grow over my trellis on the side gate - so far I haven't destroyed them - I have such a brown thumb!
Well, time is getting away from me here - still need a milk run - it is getting to be dangerously low - it is also 2 pm and the clouds are darkening and thunder is heard in the mountains to my west -
Chickie - hope that you are still safe from all the storms and water.
Enjoy .
Jana
