Ok, I replenished my thread, my weekend has arrived, and I will be heading back to my workshop to work on my tables and chairs.

Maryz-I don't keep as much machine embroidery thread on hand as I do quilting thread. Since I am using a satin stitch on my applique, I ran out before I realized I needed to stop to pick more up, lol.

Teresa-Thanks so much for the wonderful compliment on my sewing room. Thank you for helping me re-do it. By the way, I made a few more changes in there and need to send you a picture.

Chriss-It's a Booger when you run out of any sewing/quilting essentials.

Yes, Maryz, I flew home yesterday afternoon. Everyone is happy mamma is home. The kitties are purring like crazy. Jack and Wrigley laid across my lap last night and again this morning. DH is glad he doesn't have to do anything again. Molly just jumped into my lap for some love. I'll get back to my blocks this week. Lori

Hi everyone! I can't believe it's been like 10+ days since I checked in last! Where does the time go?!
I'm still plugging along on mine, I'm slower than I like but if I sit for an hour at once then my legs swell too bad, so I'm having to go in little time slots. I thought I'd get finished this past weekend but my plans went out the window. In shooting for finishing next weekend but I hate saying what my plans are because my "plans" keep getting side tracked.

Good Afternoon Ladies.......Thought I would check in before I go shopping for backing. I saw MaryZ's quilt in photos and really like the way she did the border with the flying geese. I might give that a try on this quilt. Mean while I'm practicing making "feathers" instead of stipples. We will see how that goes...............;)

Linda - Don't forget swirls or straight diagonal lines :) :)

MaryRose - You are most welcome. I look forward to see everything you have done to your beautiful bright room.Happy to hear you now have all your thread needed.

Chriss - Vinae usually has a sweet plan up her sleeve :) :)

Maryz - I timed my calendar and how many I had to make by this date. Happy I got it done early. New Dr gave me a shot on the outside of my foot and then wrapped it. My sewing would be a bit stiff - LOL!!!
I got them done and they are in the MAIL due to arrive tomorrow unless the mail tricked you and they came today. It has a way of doing that.

here is a picture... I had intended to add triangles of tea bags to the corners but I saw everyone's blocks so I left them off. Sorry for the big picture. Tried to make it smaller. ENJOY!

TERESA, I'll be looking for your blocks soon! We're going to pick up our mail this afternoon. Hope your foot is feeling better. Have you tried using your other foot to sew? I do that sometimes just to vary the muscles I use.

LINDA - that border on my O.S. was a fluke! I don't know what I was thinking but when I was done making my flying geese I had 40 extra! What to do?? lol! But I did like the extra interest it added to the quilt. BTW, I'm TERRIBLE at feathers! But I do have meander, stipple, and swirls and loops down pretty well. anything else, I hand over to Bill to do.

BEV - we have such a great group of swappers here that any swap is a winner!

VINAE - when is your DGD's birthday? How old will she be? A tea set would be the purrfect go-along gift if she is little. And maybe a doll dressed for a tea party? If she's older, maybe a grown-up tea set for her hope chest. do girls still have hope chests? My mom always called mine my hopeless chest. lol! Funny mom!
