Supper club-Sunday, March 3

Post by purrfect-lady » Sun Mar 03, 2019 2:15 am

Happy Sunday!

33° this morning but going to 44 and sunny by afternoon. Cooler than last three days but I won’t complain! I wanted to rake leaves on the Vicki side of our property but it will only be about 37° while she is gone to breakfast with kids, so I think any yardwork is out. I guess I will stay in and sew March lotto blocks. But first, I am almost finished quilting international sunbonnet Sue. Bill is doing the borders for me in a bubble pattern to replicate the print fabric in the borders. So if I have time, I might make binding today too. Yesterday I made a tote bag for our friends’ new puppy ( and posted a photo of the bag ). She is a mini Aussie named Chrissy and we will meet her this afternoon. Scotty is getting all spit shined for the occasion .

Becca, so nice of your grandson to bring in gravel for you and then to sit and visit. He is truly a blessing!

Jana, are you done with all that frosting? When Autumn got married 16 years ago, it was the opposite-I made the cake but took it down to the bakery in the grocery store and they frosted and decorated it and delivered it to the reception. Took me 12 hours to bake that cake for 125 people- all from scratch. I didn’t feel up to tackling the frosting, too! You must be a whiz baker !

Chickie, have you settled back into your home routine yet?

Tina, your text sounded like jazz is on the mend. That’s a relief. I hope she is getting the rest she needs this weekend.

I have no idea what supper will be. These friends eat a little strange. Last time we were there we had kale and quinoa casserole, which didn’t impress Bill at all! He always groans a little when he hears we have been invited to their house for supper. LOL but they asked us to bring dessert-hot fudge sundae Topped with a purrfect fresh strawberry.

Good morning!

Mary - I am soooooooo done with frosting! Sandee came over and helped. She is a great cook as well. I taught them both! LOL! So the three of us worked well as a team. The cake was beautiful. I have a picture, but need to get it from my phone to the computer to here. The bride loved it. Everyone loved it too.

Dinner - well, the refrig is a mess and I need to get rid of many science projects that have sprouted up in there. Then I can see what is available for dinner. Cereal is a big option!

We are getting snow. So much for the valley rain forecast. So far about 6 inches has fallen and it is coming down quite heavily still.

Enjoy!

Good morning :)
I'm running through fast because I want to get outside and do a little yard work before the wind gets up. Mary dangled a carrot in front of me this morning and I went crazy looking at pictures for her next swap! You all need to check it out as soon as she posts it, it's awesome! I'll post some ideas as soon as she posts hehe.
Jazmyne is on the good side now, she sure was 1 sick little girl! Flu, then her ear was hurting so I took her back to the Dr and her ear drum had burst and she had 2 ear infections and possibly strep so she's been out of school all week and here. Her temp was almost 103 all the time. I had an exhausting week. But totally did nothing yesterday and even took a nap! I didn't mean to be that lazy LOL today I'm doing some yard work and then Frankie is taking me to the movie to watch a Liam Neeson movie, Cold Pursuit.
I'm not sure what's for supper, maybe leftover soup.

Oh I forgot to tell you all! I did our taxes yesterday and we're getting back almost 4 1/2 times what we usually get back, woohoo! The new tax system worked for us, hope you all are happy with it too!
