Supper Club -Tuesday, Jan 15
Good morning!
We had a stellar traveling day yesterday and made it halfway to Deming. We stayed in our usual RV park when making this trip - it has a great fenced dog area, lots of friendly resident cats, and a tiny family-run cafe. So we ate “out” and a sweet orange cat escorted us back to our trailer after supper and all it cost us was a bite of leftover chicken.
Funny thing happened on the road: a couple that we know and who are headed to Quartzsite, AZ from NC to meet up with our good friends who were parked next to us for 2 months in Georgetown are headed for the same big RV Rally was delayed in NC. We’ve camped with alll of them a few times over the years. As we were driving west on I-10 they were suddenly merging onto the highway next to us!! Bill recognised them. We slowed to allow them in, we were that close! What are the odds of that happening? We couldnt have planned a meeting as close as that! We drove together next 100 miles until we needed to stop for fuel. They drove on another 80 miles past our stop, trying to make better time.
Tina, i will be texting you later today. We should arrive at Dream Catcher about 2pm. My sis should arrive at almost same time coming from the north. We’ve got to coordinate with them. The friend we met on the road yesterday suggested Adobe Deli. Have you eaten there?
Irish, if Nick joined Airforce would he do it now or after college? There is that GI bill....
Chickie - you know spring flowers arent many weeks away....
Becca - thx for checking in. Glad your DGS is close by. Do you have any help otherwise? Your kids must worry about you when they are so far away. Do get better soon!
Jana - there are a few young rowdies in our family too. And the parents think they are cute and funny! I cant say here what I think!
I’ve lost control of suppers here. Every time I plan something it gets changed. So -today could be that scramble i talked about a few days ago, dinner out w/sister, or a completely new plan. That’s alright. I like surprises.

Good morning! I got up early and went to let Choc out to potty and fed her. I had to scrape heavy frost off the windows of DH’s car. Lucky him, when I returned it was cleaned off and warmed up for his coffee run. Came home, fed the birds, and did my yoga practice with the help of Boomer and Tinker Bell. I’ve paid a couple of bills and did some typing for DH. He will be home for brunch, then I’ll be working in my sewing room.
Yesterday I finished the top of my friend’s quilt. It’s super bright and cheerful. Hopefully she will love it and the hugs it contains. Today I’ll be working on the pieced backing. My batiks stash is mainly fat quarters, and I’ll put them together with some of the extra blocks from the front of the quilt. I’ll also be going to see Choc and Ava at noonish, then back to Choc a couple more times before bedtime.
Mary—I know crocuses should be peeking up here any time. I don’t’ have any here, but there are some at the old house site where Ava lives. I’ve been hearing sheets of icy snow falling off the roof as the sun has started making a chilly appearance. Have a fun visit with your friends, and give Tina a a big hug! That’s funny to “meet” your friends in the merge lane!
Becca—you poor thing! Glad you are starting to come around. Hope you beat whatever you have soon!
Irish—I need you to pet Boomer and Tinker Bell while I do my yoga! I like your thinking with the fund raising so we can play!
Jana—I’m sure Michael has a big headache with the computer snafu. Glad he is a back up person!
I’m feeling guilty for complaining about my little snowfall. Becky got slammed where she is.
Yesterday as we were eating brunch, I looked across the pond and 5 deer were walking by in the pasture. It was a pretty picture against the snow. It helped make up for the mud and grit that comes with the beauty.
Dinner tonight… I think I have a few leftovers so I can spend more time in the sewing room. Ava’s mom gave us a plate of banana cake yesterday, and it’s delicious!
Bon appétit!

Good afternoon from a dreary, cold, SW. Pa...Another good day to stay inside and hopefully do something productive.....
Mary, as I've said before, with all your traveling, you have friends everywhere and never know when they just might pop up....What are the odds of running into someone like that???
Not sure what Nick will decide but he did seem so excited when I talked to him.....I know how I feel about these kids growing up but I have a feeling it's hitting Terry hard...This is his baby, his little boy!
Not going to be able to stay and chat...Not sure what I did (probably something that I shouldn't have) but pulled something on the left side of my neck and shoulder...Did run the vacuum upstairs but now I need to get out the heating pad and maybe a pain pill and use the recliner for awhile.....Not what I had planned for the day...
As for dinner, we'll see what pops up on the table or out of a bag......
You all have a great day........
Happy eating................

Good morning!
It took most of yesterday for Michael to get back to near where he was. He did a few equations for the project, then had to clean, read, dig through all the junk on his desk! I was worried that Gracie would find my scissors or Olfa and do some damage in my area, but she contained it all to Michael's.
Worked on my new tote. It is coming slowly as I am adding pockets with flaps to secure my stuff. Also adding a strip of fabric inside one of the pockets that my case to my phone can clip onto. So it takes measuring, and then remeasuring to make sure I have it in the right place, before I stitch it down. Not in the mood to rip stitches out! LOL! Also want to sew my log cabin together.
Uglies are done, so I can play.
Dinner - mmy baked chicken didn't happen last night, so it will be today.
Mary - safe travels! Good to have a buddy to travel with.
Chickie - I so love that my whole yard is in grass! But no matter how much grass, snow is dirty! Mine falls from the sky with mud in the flakes, just to be tracked in here!
Becca - continue to get better, we miss you!
Irish - we have eagles in the mountains behind me, but no cameras. Every so often, you see the adults soaring overhead in my back yard. They are so beautiful! The wildlife people come out each spring to do counts.
Enjoy!

Hi everyone
Mary, that's funny to see your friends like that, I guess it is a small world after all
Chickie, I can just picture your deer, pond, pasture and snow.....so beautiful!
Irish, I hope your neck feels better soon, mine is on the fritz too.
Jana, oh my what a mess computers can be.
Becca, feel better.
I made a huge pot of veggie beef but with hamburger instead for the meat. Dad comes for supper tonight. I'm thinking about making a pineapple upside down cake....thinking so far LOL I only slept maybe 2-2 1/2 hours last night, I'm pretty sure I feel like a zombie.
I'm looking forward to visiting with Mary and Bill!
We're having beautiful weather, feels like a perfect spring day, I ordered it especially for Mary
