Supper club -Sunday, Jan 13

Cindy and I enjoying the sunshine. I was too lazy to move or to even sit up straight! lol!

Yesterday we went into town and hit a little quilt shop - yes, I did a bit more damage, and Cindy did her part, too. Then a Farmer's Market, Walmart, and Discount Tire. We also hit a Schlotzki's Sandwich Shop for lunch. It looks like Don & Cindy will be going home on four new tires on their trailer. We were going to play cards last night but my newfound allergies kicked in again and I decided not to subject them to my coughing and sniveling. I was in bed by 8pm and asleep within 3 minutes. God bless the good people that make Benadryl! Today we're going to take a short ride to explore the campground on the southern shore of the lake, and then will probably get in that card game. We will be leaving here early in the morning, starting west for HOME but Don & Cindy will be hanging around most of the day, waiting for their 4:30 appointment at Discount Tire. After that, they have a long drive home - at least 3 hours. Will be a late night for them.

JANA - you really did some serious traipsing for all those light fixtures! But I'm glad you got what you wanted. We've run into problems with light fixtures for the exact same reasons! And had to just replace the fixtures. I'm glad now to have a name so I can attach the blame! ;o) Sorry the stroke affected Michael's friend's memory like it has. Seems like a bug in his family's ear would be prudent. Plus, he could have more going on than the stroke. Getting lost like that while driving can also be one of the early signs of Alzheimers.

IRISH - Glad to report that the bail fund is, so far, intact. And today looks to be a fairly calm day here, so hopefully, the it will remain so because I know YOU have a trip planned in the near future! lol! A new bobblehead! I suggest we name him 'Bob'! Or her "Bobbie". I heard something on the news the other day about Tom Ridge. I had no idea he was one of your former governors. He is first cousin to my good friend, Carol, one of my former co-workers and one of the other 3 nurses in my 'birthday club'. It's a small world after all!

BECCA - how's it going at your house? Are you feeling better yet? you know we're all pulling for you to get well quickly!

CHICKIE - I know you are winterbound! Hope you are warm and dry and have power to run your sewing machine.

Tonight we're having a scramble for supper - potatoes, onions, peppers, kielbasa, and eggs. One of my favorite meals. I like mine all together but Bill prefers to have his eggs over easy and on the side, so that's probably how it will go, except mine will be scrambled. and how's supper going to go at your house? Grilled cheese doesn't sound bad . . .

Sweet picture if two cuties! I can tell you are having a ball together in spite of your allergies. Glad Cindy and Don can get the new tires quickly to have safe travel back home. Hope you and Bill have safe travels too.
I made sloppy Joe's on Friday, so we are still working on leftovers. I might have to freeze a small container after all.
Should have made some potato salad, but was low on potatoes.
Maybe next week. Got some chicken breast to cook with BBQ sauce, maybe tomorrow.
Hugs to all

Good afternoon from a wintery, cold, snowy (only about 2 inches) SW. Pa....The roads are fine now but I guess it was really nasty last night, had a car slide into a pole and knocked out power to quite a few, not too far from me.....But, I'm snug as a bug, not going anywhere even though the kids tell me, my Subaru does very well in snow...(Ruby is quite content to stay inside in the warm garage).....

Mary, love, love the picture of you 2...So glad you gals and guys were able to get together, and do alittle damage, lol....And maybe it's good that you didn't need that bail money...The gals, sister included, that I'm traveling with are known for being just a bit rowdy...I, being the oldest, might have to keep them under control, (snicker, snicker).....
The other day, at lunch we were talking about not going out at night and if it doesn't happen before 6:00, forget it...But, my friend had been out one night until 9:30 and a day or so later, her son wanted to know where she was that night "she was out all night?"...But, you know what they say, when away.....What happens in Florida stays in Florida!

Today, I'm determined to finish a Patterson book that has been keeping me up until the wee hours AND I'm also going to start cutting into the fabric I got for the Irish Chains I need to get busy with.....
As far as dinner, I might follow Mary's menu...A scrambler always sounds good.......

You all have a great rest of the day.....Stay warm, stay safe....

Happy eating...............

Good afternoon!

Today is our Emma's birthday. Stu's was on Friday. That finishes the birthday's for January. Most of the family will be here tonight for dinner. They are bringing out spaghetti, salad and my good garlic bread. I was put in charge of goodies. So we have brownies, chocolate bundt cake and rice krispy treats. All are made now. Just need to dress the bundt cake with a dusting of powder sugar and a dollop of whip cream. Emma is 6 and Stu is 22. We are done with birthdays until the middle of February, when we have 5!

Mary - just the way you should be on vacation! Very relaxed! Great picture of you both! Have safe travels, our storms have gone to the north, so you shouldn't run into any snow. We are clear until Wednesday.

Vel - I'll come help with those leftovers. Sloppy joes is one of my favorites, but I am the only one who eat it here.

Aaron was on duty for the Provo officer's funeral yesterday. He was in the long line for the processional. Sad to say, over the years, he has been involved in too many funerals!

Sarah was reorganizing her office/sewing area and came across part of her stash that has the exact same fabric as my log cabin quilt. We found a piece at the LQS that would work, but now I don't have to use it! Good thing daughters and moms have similar tastes and buy the same fabrics!

Sarah is starting rehersals for the Easter production this year. She has the two venues reserved and Stu wil be on the technical crew. So Ethan will be here on Sunday nights. After all the brouhaha of last year, they got rid of the troublemakers and Sarah is now the president of the Utah chapter. She has many m8nions now to help.

Well, time to scoot and get the tablecset.

Enjoy,
Jana

Hi all! I've missed again, seems like I can't do more than 1 thing at a time, I've been watching what's going on in the swap and miss here, I'm bad....sorry.
Easton took a few layers of skin off of his leg at school on Wednesday, he had blood from knee to able....the actually spot was about 1 1/2" long and between 1/4-1/2" wide on his chin. He's doing ok with it.
I cleaned out my cookbooks book case yesterday and got it all cleaned and rearranged and then I cleaned the whole house and did all the laundry. I did too much and then couldn't sleep, oh well I'm better today.
Love the pic Mary! Sorry to hear all the bad luck Cindy had.
I don't have my glasses on so I might have type o's.
I hope you all are doing good, been thinking of you all.
Tina
