Good evening, tonight is set aside for working on bow ties. The background fabric is now pressed and I am starting to cut the background squares out. Tomorrow I should be able to get some sewn together while getting Mt. Washmore done.

Welcome MaryGoRound. Hope to see you around often.

Happy sewing Mary Rose.

I was amazed at how quickly these blocks went together. I sewed enough for 7 quilters and have enough cut for 5 more.

In the event this swap doesn't fill up I do know that there are at least three who want to do a second set I love this swap.

Cute blocks Chriss. Maybe I'll get some cut out this week. I did get my scrap boxes out. Just need to go through them.

Welcome Merry Go Round! Nice to have a new person to play with! I hope you also visit other areas of our forum. It's a great place to meet new folks and make life-long friends.

Yesterday Cindy came to my trailer and we worked together on my swap blocks. I sewed, she ironed (and found the ones I'd sewed wrong!) and before long, we were FINISHED! Since yesterday was my last sewing day for a long time (we're leaving today and will be out in the desert for the next few weeks with no power) I really wanted to get them done and with Cindy's help, I managed it. If more join at the last minute we'll start our generator and I'll make my sister help! lol!

Thanks Lori.

Maryz, always nice to have a helper.

I only sewed one 6 inch block wrong and jabbed it with the seam ripper so will need to cut a new one to have my 12. I hope to get some done after work each night.

4 days left to sign up, 7 spots left.

No Val. That should be 8 spots left. I can’t do math very well

I'm up, having a cup of coffee. When I finish this first cup I will be off to get Mt. Washmore sorted and then off to the sewing room.

If I counted correctly I have enough pieces cut for 16 sets. It will be easier to tell once I get the blocks together.

It looks like my idea of using 2 different blocks in different sizes will work like a charm. I graphed it out last week and love the design, especially for a child's quilt.

The excitement is building day by day. Can't wait to see everyone's blocks.
