SUPPER CLUB - Thursday 29 November

Post by FarmChick » Thu Nov 29, 2018 5:13 am

Good morning! We should be almost 60 today, but Monday has snow and freezing temperatures in the forecast. It’s like Mother Nature’s favorite vehicle is a roller coaster! Well, I’m just going to enjoy the warmth while we have it! I’ll be walking Ava later today.

Speaking of… Yesterday Ava almost gave me a heart attack. She was on her leash, wearing her little harness, and we were running and playing with the Hooligans in the hay meadow. Ava was rolling in “something” as were the Hooligans. I called to her, and all of a sudden the leash went limp! I was in a state of panic. I was so lucky!!! Ava was still rolling in whatever it was, oblivious to the fact that I was about to put an end to her fun. I scooped her up in my arms, and we went to the house. She’s a Silky (terrier), and like terriers, she wants to disappear off leash! There are plenty of places to hide from me, and not all are safe. I was so relieved I didn’t have a major drama on my hands!

Yesterday while I was sewing table runners, I made some veggie tortilla soup (mostly beans, tomatoes, tortillas, broth) in the little crock pot, and it was delicious. I had some fresh spinach, chopped it up, and threw it in the pot as well. Of course, I have leftovers! I’m going to be sewing more table runners and table toppers today. It’s nice not to have to stop and cook! I’ve done today’s yoga session—prefer to do it early, although I’m
pretty stiff then, but I can do it while DH is at geezer coffee and be finished and dressed when he arrives for brunch.

You know where to find me…

Bon appétit!

Good afternoon!

Well your future snow storm has arrived here at my house! It had been raining all morning and now it is snow, which will make the roads tough this afternoon. Aaron is still in training and in a place named Tooele for his CDL license. He can drive a full semi rig with that license - drive it, and even parallel that big puppy. The state wants him out on the road sooner that the class is supposed to be done, and he has mastered all that is required to get his license. His take home truck is just a big Dodge Ram dually, loaded to the hilt with toys that he will need, but he has the license, just in case he needs to drive a big rig off the freeway for any reason. He can even double clutch!

Aaron was finally able to sell his second vechile that they no longer need, since he has a take home work vehicle. They deral will be finished tomorrow at the bank. We are so happy that they are out from under that payment.

Class is tonight and so dinner is out - and will be brought home - with all this snow! I have options here as well.

In the Batt Cave sewing the back and binding together for a Christmas present quilt - lotto winnings. This one will be for Kate - she loves Christmas and this one looks like packages.

So not much else here - researching a whole house generator - it will take Michael awhile till he finds just what he wants - he is picky! But I love him!

Enjoy!

It's now 4pm. I am late to the table again. Went to the clubhouse this afternoon to lay out another top. Pinned by rows, so I will be ready to sew together tomorrow. More people are arriving now and we had a lot of visiting with returning friends. Hopefully we will have more joining our exercise and yoga.
Fixing a salad and heating up leftover spaghetti. DH took me out to I hope last night. That was sweet!
So I am glad I don't have to cook tonight.
