SUPPER CLUB - Sat, Oct 13
Good morning!
today my oldeer grandson, Drew, turns a quarter century old!! Can't believe it! I still remember when I hit that milestone. I thought I was so mature - finally! lol!!
Yesterday was chiropractor, then Costco. By the time we were home, everything put away, and lunch eaten, it was 1:30. I finished quilting my tablerunner and day was done! Today I will finish the binding on that project and then start cleaning the garage messes. If there's more time, I'll clean out another flowerbed. The yard needs one more mowing before we go south. I don't care what Bill says! But I told him he should do it when Vicki is gone tomorrow with the kids. She has been very quiet since the sheriff/ambulance episode and we don't want to rile her. and mowing riles her a LOT! Though the Seahawk game is on at 10am and the kids like to watch the games, too. and they are playing the Raiders in London this week. so kids may skip vicki. We never know, but watch for their cars.
TINA - glad you got your trailer back home again. And that you didn't wash away. Congratulations on your weight loss! That's very nearly a pound a week, which is what the medicos recommend for weight loss that is healthy and that stays off! You're doing excellent!!! and you're doing it the right way.
CHICKIE - surprises are always fun! Bet Natasha loved her pillow. Glad you didn't get washed away either! Here, I guess my yard is full of "slug plants"! ugh!! They eat everything, too!
BECCA - sounds like you love cooking and you love family! You can always freeze most things for those days down the road when cooking seems like too much work!
JANA - happy birthday to your Matt! Of course, you aren't that old! My mom always said her kids' ages were their business and her age was her business. lol! My girls are soon to turn 42 and 47. My son is 43. Even my grands are 21 and 25 (today!). If it's any comfort, I'm older than you! How did the training drill go yesterday? and yes, there are so many national parks and close to you, too! We love Bryce - even more than Grand Canyon. and Yellowstone is my favorite place on earth! then Alaska, then Bryce, then home. In that order.
bill just reminded me that we are meeting his sister and DBIL for breakfast in Tacoma and then going to the RV show with them. We are helping them shop. always fun to look and even more fun to come away, all your dollars intact, and knowing that you are more than satisfied with what you have.
Supper last night will be the pizza we never got to yesterday. We ended up with just tomato basil soup, chips, and hummus. At least that's the plan. As always, subject to change.

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Sat, Oct 13
Good afternoon from a very dreary, wet, cold, SW. Pa....Not to my liking but what did we expect this time of year....This is the big weekend for Ligonier Days slightly north of me...3 days of crafts, parades and they do the reenactment...Terry and I always took the boys and we all loved it, especially eating those cheap hot dogs, covered with sauerkraut while sitting on the curb...But, the boys have scattered and Terry and his wife might go but it's too cold for me...Besides, the Notre Dame game is on this afternoon.....
Mary, I can't keep up with you...You wore me out just going to Costco yesterday but you came home and kept on going...Just like that bunny! And, today would have been my Mother's 104th birthday...She's been gone since 1999 and I often think, how amazed she would be at what's happening with our family and all the babies...(If we could just bring them back, even for a short time...)
Tina, that really is great with the weight loss...As Mary said, a healthy way of dropping, good for you....I really don't recommend loosing the way I did by being sick because you know, eventually, it comes back, lol....Keep up the good work.....
Not going to be able to gab too much, need to get to Aldi and back before the game comes on....I'm hoping to make it out of the store alive...ND is playing Pitt today and on game day, no matter who they play, I wear Jim's ND sweat shirt...Besides, they might be #5 in the country but when they play Pitt, it's usually a tough game....
And tonight is our Penguin game so I'll really be glued to the TV but I need to finish a baby afghan and what better way to keep me from sitting there eating......
I have no idea what dinner might be...Went to lunch yesterday and the 4 of us each ordered something different so we could share and one of those somethings didn't agree so I'm back to eating light...But, lunch was so much fun......
You all have a great day......
Happy eating..................

Hello everyone, sunny & a beautiful Fall day here.Just took my walk.
Maryz I got out my quilt last nite as we are in 40s at nite now.Lovely to look at & warms too.Quilts are wonderful. We used to pile so many on you could hardly turn over.
I do freeze my extras always.Comes in good when you’re rushed or just don’t feel up to cooking. And yes I do love family. My Mother taught me that.
Tina That is the best way to lose. And it stays off.So Happy for you.The walking helps I know.
Irish My Mother would be 105 Oct 24.She Loved babies too.Enjoy your games .
I’m sitting on the porch enjoying this beautiful sunny day because I know it can’t last too much longer. If the squirrels are any indication it’s going to be a very rough Winter. They are really working so hard burying nuts.
We neither one are hungry today so I may make waffles.Have.not had any in long time.
Happy eating to all. Becca

Hi everyone
I went for a massage then we went to Cruces. We didn't get to visit the kids because a last minute birthday party came up for one of Maria's nephews, but we still enjoyed our trip and just being is two. We're on our way home and we're going to stop and get Jazmyne, She finally gets to spend the night.
Thank you all for the words of encouragement on the weight loss, I need it and I keep trying to be good.
Sergio gave us almost 1"of rain yesterday! Very much appreciated! It's been very cloudy today. I'm loving the cooler weather for sure!
Mary, I hope Vicki stays calm and leaves you all alone.
Irish, I love that you wear Jim's sweat shirt.
Becca, I hope we have a wet winter here, I'm not picky....it can be rain or snow I don't care but we sure need the moisture. I really want a white Christmas this year.
I put a roast with all the fixins in the crock pot this morning so supper should be yummy when we get home. Dad's coming for supper tonight too.

Good afternoon!
Well the best laid plans - I was going to make Michael's favorite soup, but then I remembered that it is the open house for Matt's birthday at his house. So, we will be off to that in a few minutes. Just a short stop in and then back home as Michael is putting the final touches on his lesson for Church tomorrow. Soup will be tomorrow's dinner.
Sarah and Sandee made it to Daniel's safely. Ethan was being Ethan. He loves to sing and makes up songs all the time. He started as they left here, singing about chickens and this continued to almost the end of the Salt Flats - about 2 hours! Sarah called and wondered how I put up with all 4 of them (my kids) and never killed or left them out on the Salt Flats with all the trips we made here to Utah from California! I just smiled! They are at the Railroad Museum today and will go to Yosmite in the morning for the week. They have reservations.
Still have snow on the tops of the mountains and a cold front is coming in from the north that will lower out temps a bunch! Time to break out the big heavy winter coat!
Time to leave,
Enjoy,
Jana
