supper club - Saturday, Sept 29
Good morning!
Today is my DD#1's 28th wedding anniversary. Lee & Lara. It does my heart good to see that they are still as starry eyed as they were when it all started - when they were 14 and 17.
Well, Vicki is home. Sigh. But she is laying low. I think she fears if she goes to the hospital she may never come home again and she crossed the line last week. Anyway, her kids say the State says something awful has to happen before they will step in. Awful meaning she has to either hurt herself (or us!) badly, burn down her house (or ours!), or something equally terrible. So we will keep documenting, keep calling the sheriff, and keep filing reports with the useless Adult Protective Services. At least her son said he will come this weekend and clean our garage door, or paint it if necessary.
I'm also discouraged about my new sewing machine. It's not working right and no one returned my call yesterday. So I'll call again today.
Yesterday was errands, groceries, flu shots. Then making/freezing burgers and meatloaves, packaging pork chops, and parting out chicken packs. After all that, plus Vicki, the sewing machine, and my ankle where I was hit with a Blue Ice when it tumbled from the freezer (OUCH!) I was ready for our Happy Hour date, let me tell you!
IRISH - you are so loving to your DDIL! I'm sure she treasures you just as much as you treasure her! You are both special! And yes, I'd go check your sis's carpet. Maybe she got yours by mistake!
JANA - You don't have to be into trains to be wow'd by that Sacramento train museum! One of the best we've ever visited! Working the pumpkin patch sounds fun to me!
BECCA - will Denise be riding in this cross-state adventure or will she be in a support vehicle?
TINA - From all you say, I sure wonder what your DD ever saw, and still seems to see, in Adam. Poor Easton! Did he get all these injuries at school? Happy for the wedding bliss! Your son really has it all going on right now, doesn't he! Are they taking a honeymoon? What kind(s) of cookies are you making?
CHICKIE - Holy Headliner!! You've got Marvelous Millie back! Sorry you missed out on Mexican. It was delicious. Are plans for Mom's party all settled up?
PAM - missing you! I hope all is well.
Supper tonite is an unknown, but I'm thinking maybe chicken on the grill, rice, and salad. It's possible that a pork chop might stand in for the chicken.

Hello everyone,The sun joined us so it’s a beautiful Fall day.Only no color with leaves, still very green.
Maryz You had quite a day.As did I But no bruises here.Too bad nothing will be done about Vicky. And your new machine.Thats a bummer they won’t return your call. And broken needles I hate doing that.
Denise will ride in her car.She said Mark wouldn’t go if she stayed home.I know she likes to support him too. This is a retirement gift he received. They too are still like love birds after 40 yrs of married bliss.
Tina I agree with Maryz .As soon as I read about Easton a red flag went off.Guess bec I was a teacher & taught to be aware of signs.Praying he is better soon.
Jana Hope Sarah’s stings get better. They really hurt & annoy you.Loved all your projects.Way to go.
Irish Thats great the way you feel about DDIL But I think I would be the same.My DS said he didn’t want to grow old alone.Wishing her the best. And you & DS make a great supportive team.
Chickie That’s great you can walk around on your farm without getting on a road. And the Hooligans Love it I know .Glad you got the snazzy truck fixed as good as new.I love it.
Pam I too miss you.Hope all’s well & DB is still improving.
Got the mumbo dance done.Think it will be a bed of rice with black beans & green onions on top. Becca

Good afternoon from, well, I am in SW. Pa. but weather wise, just not sure what's going to happen...It was sunny, put clothes on the line and hopefully they'll dry but it's not looking too promising...Oops, sun just came out! See what I mean????
Mary,I think maybe you should erase yesterday from your week..Other than Happy Hour, the rest of the day didn't sound good...Sorry about the ouchie and also sorry about having to worry about Vicki and her antics....What is weird, you hear about some organizations just snatching someone and taking them away (sometimes without real cause) but here's a case that is legit and nothing can be done....
And you know what's funny about the carpet, my sister did have her's ordered before her DH had passed away and had to cancel the install...BUT, her carpet is very close to what I want and hopefully, what I'll be getting...
If you all knew my DDIL, Chris' wife, you'd love her...I know I've written this before but if it had not been for her, I don't think Chris would have survived his Hodgkins back when he was 18...She sat with him and encouraged him to keep fighting and she did the same thing when he had his heart surgeries...She is a very special person and deserves to be happy again.....
I have to keep moving...You know, when the mood hits, I need to take advantage of it...Not sure why but started cleaning out under the sink...We have a pretty big space and would someone please explain to me why you need all those extra containers, (some with lids, some without), all those plastic containers that you bring home left overs in and are too good to throw away, just all the stuff that you're not sure what to do with and pitch it in that space...Trash people are going to be so happy with me.....
Did hear from Kathy and they are on their way to Hawaii and will meet up with Dan and Casey, which means, I'm taking care of 2 fur babies this week...The last time I watched them I couldn't get his door open and for a minute thought I might have to go through a window but we all know my history of window crawling so I texted him and got his garage door code...Hopefully, no problem this time, have my treat bag already packed.....
As far as dinner, could be just about anything, including that bag of popcorn...For lunch, I just had a cup of soup, crackers and 2 bite size candy bars (the ones that are so small, you need 2 to taste), so I'm good for quite awhile....
You all have a great day.......
Happy eating..................

Hi all
I've been busy and just sat down a few minutes ago for the first time. I walked, spent a couple hours in the back yard cleaning and transplanting and watering, it's looking better. Came in and Holly brought lunch and then vacuumed and dusted. I might figure out a pattern I'm making for Holly, it's a huge tote. She's having a lady come here to do her makeup to see if she likes it for the wedding. I'm all a little eyeliner and mascara and lipstick and that's dressy for me LOL
Dad's coming for supper tonight, I've got cube steaks laid out but not sure yet how I'm making them.
Mary, I'm sorry about your machine, they better call you back, that's not right.
Irish, we're watching the golf game.
Becca, I didn't know you were a teacher, thank you for being one....it's a very important job.
Tina
