Daily devotion May 8

Open My Eyes Lord
2 Kings 6:8-23

Elisha's prayer is one we can all pray too. "Open my eyes, Lord Help me to see the real picture, the big picture, the supernatural picture. Help me to see what You are doing. Lift the curtain off of my spiritual eyes so that I can see Your hand at work behind the scenes of battles I face in Live."

But there is another prayer in this story. After Elisha prayed that his servant would see the truth of God's supernatural protection, he then prayed that his enemies would be struck blind so they couldn't see what was around them. This would cause them to follow a different path. Both of Elisha's prayers were answered. There are times when we also need to pray Elisha's second prayer. We need to ask God to blind and confuse our enemy.

Ask God to give you the ability to see with spiritual eyes so you can better understand things from HIS perspective.

Hugs and prayers
