SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, March 11th
Good morning!
Yesterday was a good day. Visited Albert. A bit of nausea and quite a bit of pain, but he was up in a chair and smiling. We only stayed about 15 minutes. He was grateful we came and grateful we left. Then we took Al & June down to the Seattle waterfront and toured Pike Place Market. Got to see a bit of fish throwing that they are famous for. We came home, relaxed a bit, and then went to friends for supper. A very nice day all around. Weather was warm and sunny.
Today has no plans! Bill says he might mow the yard with the tractor. I think, since it's going to be so pretty out, we might all work in the yard. I'm sure my sis is aching to get back out there, raking and weeding! lol!
JANA - glad Sarah's concerts are over. I'm sure she enjoys them, but sounds like maybe there were a few stresses!
BECCA - glad you are resting your back!
VELDA - it takes more doing than one would think to get yourself together to move again after being in one spot for a while! Glad you are looking forward to a change of scenery. I'm so itchy to get away in our trailer for a while, but it's not happening any time soon.
I'm not sure about supper tonite. My sis says she is doing beans and ham today, and insists the ONLY way to do it is overnight soak of the beans. But she didn't put the beans on to soak. So I just don't know what is happening. This has been the dinner scenario for about 3 different nights now during their stay. So I guess back-up menu will be burgers on the grill and jo-jos.
I hope your supper isn't so 'iffy'!

Morning all:
It sorta rained over night, but couldn't see anything in the rain gauge. Woke up to morning fog...pretty late in the year for that! Don't know if it is going to be rainy, foggy or sunny today but it is projected to get up to 70 at some point. Time change got to me last night and I didn't get much sleep.
Termite inspector came out Tuesday and confirmed our swarm. They are subterranean so no tenting. But they will have to dig a 6" deep trench all around the foundation to place poison. And drill into all the concrete decking we have in the back. Years ago I spent a summer hauling river rock from the side yard to place all around the foundation of the house in front and sides to keep the cats from pooping. So the last few days DH and I have been pulling all the rock back. Right away the cats started pooping again so DH bought more ground cloth and we cut long strips to cover the exposed ground. No word yet when the company will come to trench. Meanwhile DH decided to do his own spraying in the garage because the little buggers keep swarming and trying to rebuild their tunnels on the wall.
Yesterday was our guild meeting. I had refurbished 2 Featherweights that I found at garage sales, even fixing up the cases, replacing wiring, feet and case handle, etc. I took them to the guild and by golly two people bought them right then and there, no quibbling over price. I have another one at home to fix up...this may turn into a post retirement business! I also let them know I was available to do a "Spa Day" to already owned Featherweights and am teaching a maintenance class March 24th.
The backyard is waking up. Here one knows spring has sprung when the dandelions bloom and that has been happening for awhile. Now all the other weeds are waking up. That and oxalis is everywhere. Gotta get those out before they seed. This has cut into sewing time, as I knew it would. DH put a small cement bench in the backyard under the maple tree recently and I like sitting very still on it. Yesterday a juvenile hummer kept staying at the feeder right next to me and we eyed each other for a long time...until two bigger hummers chased each other away.
So glad for the good news from MaryZ and hope all is well with everyone else. Enjoy your spring. Prayers for those still in need.

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, March 11th
Good afternoon!
Mary - short visits are good! I've been to Seattle once - moved my brother to Everett and Michael almost missed the train for our trip home. He knew how to get on a moving train and made it just in time! I was a wreck! LOL Saw that your former Seahawk, Richard Sherman signed with my Niners.
Linda - uggh termites! They swarmed in my house in Concord and when we were done with them in the garage - concrete floor, we had a termite shield placed on the wood before we repoured that floor. Then sold that house and moved here - no termites here in Utah!
Becca - I haven't gotten in the March Madness this year - now baseball season - yes! Watching spring training games. In fact one is on a little later today.
Dinner - a few leftovers still.
I am enjoying Daylight savings - so nice to have light late in the afternoon! Spring is soon!
Enjoy,
Jana
