SUPPER CLUB - Friday, Feb 23rd
Good morning!
God love my DBIL, Al, but he's up as early as I am and comes and sits next to me as I try to type, and TALKS. He's a good talker! One of the best you'll ever meet! I now know all abut all his automotive projects (he shows his vintage car he restored), all his friends' cars now and all the things they've done with them. lol! And it's so hard to talk to you all!
The guys went to Port Orchard (20 miles) yesterday to a friend's work shop so they dropped June and I at Goodwill there! We made good use of the time and found another boatload of bargains! Fun day. We got home, had a nice lunch and June went off to take a 3 hr nap and I washed all our 'new' clothes and prepped supper - chili dogs. I also had some time to finish the tops for my tablerunner and 10 placemats. I want to back them with Christmas, but I think I'll wait for Tina's Christmas in July swap and use blocks from that. Makes for easy redecorating.
i'v read all but just can't talk any longer. We're off to SEattle this afternoon with Albert. My sis will go along but BIL will be here with the shelties. When we get home, I'll be making homemade pizza for supper with a tossed salad on the side. It's fast and easy and everyone loves pizza.
I sure miss all y'all!!

Hello everyone, sunny & Another beautiful day.Yesterday was almost 80.We did go from Winter to Summer.
My daffodils are blooming. And the periwinkle. The forsythia is budding out too.A month ahead.
Maryz Im convinced your thrift shops are better than ours.We don’t have a Salvation Army.My DDIL used to find great buys there. So glad DS remembered where the quilt was.Prayers for Al & his family. How is his DS Doing now?
Jana Prayers for your DDIL.Sure hope baby & Mom Do well.Know Little Gracie is a cutie.
We are supposed to get rain over the wkend.DS & DGS come to visit Yesterday.I hope to get my walk in again today. Was great to be out yesterday & see the beautiful puffy white clouds & blue skies. Can you tell I love being outside? Lol
DH isn’t doing good so he wants soup. All the mess with yard & power out & tree limbs to pick up did a number on him.I picked up most but he tries & then suffers.
I will have roasted asparagus & a sweet potato. Becca
Irish Prayers for you & all your family.Hugs to you.

Good morning!
It is still snowing! All night long, not heavy, but steady. About 6 inches so far. The horses even have snow piled on their backs.
No futher word on Kate - which to me is a good thing. They will go to her OB today for the second half of a series of shots. Her OB is one that deals primarily with high risk pregnacies and was consulted last night with what to do.
Ethan gets a snow day. Sarah's DH needed to use their 4 wheel drive truck to get to work, so Sarah drove him. Normally a 30 minute drive took 90 minutes. So, school today is short and she is still 90 minutes away, Ethan gets to skate on school today.
Dinner - I am in the mood for banned noodle cassarole.
Be safe!
Enjoy,
Jana

Good morning! It’s another gloomy day here. On the good side, it’s 37 degrees—NOT FREEZING!!! Wind is calm. Of course, there is a 70% chance of rain today and 80% tomorrow. Oh, well, as long as there’s no ice, I can take it… but I wish for some sun in between showers.
Yesterday I finished quilting DGD’s placemats, and I will cut binding today. I may not get much done. We are going to have dinner with our friends—the annual Catholic Church’s Friday night Lent fry. He likes to eat early, so we will be leaving here at 3:00 to make it in time to eat.
Mary—you did find a boatload of bargains again! A 3-hour nap!!! Such luxury!!! Have a good day with your DB!
Jana—please keep your snow! It’s not unusual here to have heavy snow in February, but I’ll keep my fingers crossed… I like your dinner plans! Best wishes to Kate! Every day is good.
Good morning, Becca! I’m so in awe of your weather! Of course, that’s quite a fast turnover in temperatures. I love walking when it’s sunny and puffy clouds overhead. Don’t you love the different hues of blue the sky produces at different months/seasons of the year! I love outside, too! So sorry your DH isn’t feeling well. Poor guy—know it’s hard on him not to be able to work like he used to. I need to get more asparagus tomorrow!
Irish—Hugs to you, My Friend!
Tina—hope all is well… know you are so busy with your DH newly retired, your Dad to settle in, and babysitting on top of it! However do you get anything accomplished???
Linda—enjoy your day! Thinking of you and your friend.
DH should be driving in any time now for brunch.
Bon appétit!

Morning all:
We have been freezing (high 20's and low 30's) for several nights now, with a biting wind, after our high 70's for several weeks. The almond farmers are worried about the blossoms and lack of bees in this cold. It was supposed to rain on the valley floor, but there is very little evidence of that this morning. Mountains are getting snow, though, which is good. We are wearing heavy jackets and gloves again for our walks, as it is only in the low 40's by 11:00.
All is quiet here, haven't had to do any house cleaning since I got ready for my quilting group on Monday. And possible rain was the excuse not to wash the windows. Too cold to do any work outside. So I have been happily sewing. Finished the top of my donation quilt I started at the birthday retreat several weeks ago. DH really likes it and doesn't understand why I am donating it. But that was always my intention, when I get finished with quilts for all friends and family I want to make donation quilts. Gives me a chance to try new patterns and use up my large stash but not have quilt lying around. Only trouble is, sitting on that hard stool at my old 15-91 Singer in its cabinet makes my butt hurt and left leg go to sleep. It irritates the hamstring and makes it hurt after I sew for a long time. I am trying various foam padding and pillows, and chairs but no good solution yet. I'm just a pain in the butt.
DH is happily scanning the internet for something good to make for dinner. He will go grocery shopping today to get the fixings. Don't know what it will be yet. He is doing so much better at relaxing and enjoying this retirement.
Well, wishes for winter to be over for most of you, prayers to those in need and have the best weekend you can.

Hi y'all. Boy, when I miss a day, it sure is hard to catch up.
Maryz, you are so busy with your company.
Prayers for Irish and family.
For me, I have been working on Row by Row kits that I purchased.
One had three cute campers on it. I made that into three place mats. These other two, well don't know where I am going with them
Dinner us left over taco salad fixings.
