SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, Feb 11th

Post by purrfect-lady » Sun Feb 11, 2018 3:52 am

Good morning!

we are 37* this morning but hoping for 47 or even 50* by afternoon. It's been a week of good weather so far with more to come! Supposed to start raining about the time my DS and SBIL (Tina and Imitation Al) get here in about 8 days.

The RV show yesterday was fun as always, and twice as big as it usually is. We didn't see half of it. Enjoyed the time with DD and SIL. They are seriously looking. Though Lara was telling me they are looking at bigger ones to buy when retirement happens. And Lee was telling Bill that they are looking at a small one first to get their feet wet. haha!! I guess some day they will get together and will figure out what they want. We stopped halfway home and had "linner" at a huge casino that we'd never been in before. We parked on the wrong side of the building and had to walk through all the smokey gambling sections to get to the restaurant. Ugh!! Hundreds of people in a zombie like state sitting in front of machines in smoke so thick you could slice it with a knife. Now I know why I don't gamble. That and the fact that the few times I have, I've never won anything. lol!

Dinner for me was a ham & cheese croissant sandwich and Bill had 'catfood' & chips for his meal. We got home in time for Scottie's dinner (though we could tell he was starting to worry about that!) and relaxed the evening away in front of the fire, watching our PD Live and the Olympics.

IRISH, I am happy Terry is so happy. Because that makes YOU happy which makes me happy. Everybody's happy! That law about restraints and such was enacted in WA too. It has allowed more injuries to happen that I can count. You can tell most lawmakers have never worked in the medical field. I hope Jim suffered no hurts.

BECCA - if you're itchy for yard work, come on out west! I'll find something for you to do!! and I won't even charge you for the fun of it!!

JANA - is the little dress finished? And how is your foot today?

I think our supper tonite will be a bit of a hodge podge. I have some scalloped potatoes left over and a kielbasa in the fridge. There's always salad, too. But maybe new food is in order and we'll eat the potatoes for breakfast with eggs. Anyway it goes, kielbasa will be the star, possibly in a one dish meal with tortellini and veggies. . . .

Good morning!

Mary - it is fun to go and look and then realize you have the best RV! As we were driving the other day, a truck pulling a Artic Fox went by. Thought of you!

The foot is better, just making sure that nothing touches it. Probably just a nice deep bruise. Slippers will be the choice of foot wear for church.

I am putting the elastic in the sleeves, then setting them. Then finish tacking the lining in place and that part is done. The pinafore is next. I have until Saturday to finish.

Dinner - I have a ton of spinach that I need to make my ravioli filling with. So something with the extra filling - lasgna roll ups come to mind.

Enjoy, church is in a few and I need to get ready,
Jana

Good early afternoon from a semi warm but rainy, SW. Pa...Most of the snow is gone and hopefully remain gone! But, how many times have we said that and then along comes another blizzard...Jim always reminded us of his birthday being this week, when he was growing up, they could never go to his Grandmother's because of the snow...AND one St. Paddy's day, we had been out and got caught and had to spend the night...Hopefully, come June, we can say, it's done for the year, lol....

Mary, What fun traipsing around looking at RVs...Years ago, Jim and I (who had no thoughts' of buying) would go and check them out...With 5 kids, we needed a bus....But, with Jim, his idea of camping was going to the cottage at Cook Forest (with indoor plumbing and modern appliances)...Always said he had enough "tent living" in Korea...Do miss our old camping days....
Kathy had posted a picture of her daffodils and then went on to say about all the salad fixings that she had growing in the garden...Just doesn't seem fair as I look out at the soggy ground and leafless trees....

Jana, sorry to hear about the foot....I vote for the slippers, no matter where you go...I'll bet you're getting anxious to finish the dress...I know we can't wait to get a peek...One very lucky little girl to have such a talented grandma......

Becca, When you decide to go to Mary's to work in her yard, I'll hitch a ride...Not that I'm going to work but I'm good at watching and making sure everyone's glass is full.....Hope your day is a good one......

I will be visiting with Jim today but need to wait until his clothes are out of the dryer...Don't know what I was thinking and completely forgot...Oh well, I have a dog that wants my attention so I'll use that for an excuse...I've more or less given Scout the run of the whole downstairs which is connected to the garage and now after out little jaunt to McDonald's, he thinks every time I go down, we're going in the car...He has even decided to lay beside the car just in case I might try to forget him....What a character! So I guess we need to take another trip before I go see Jim...Gotta keep the fur kids happy, too......

Not sure what my dinner will be....Lots of stuff in the freezer so I won't go hungry......

You all have a great day...........

Happy eating..............

Hello ladies.
We have ice and more ice. Barely got the little darlings home, activities cancelled, work for one of them sent her home, got stuck in the driveway twice, with each of them, so guess it could be worse. One of the guys JR works with just called and said roads are bad, and driving by our county road, advised we would probably not be going anywhere even tomorrow, sheet of ice. So, thankful to be home and safe, but wondering if we will get out in time for JR's surgery on his mouth on Tuesday.
Tonight, I think broiled chicken breast, maybe with peppers and onions, and baked potatoes. Kids have been going in and out to checkout the ice, and coming in for hot cocoa to warm up. Sure hope we are done with that soon, lots of dripping all over my floors. The laundry room is a disaster, with wet shoes.
You all have a great day, stay warm. Becky

Hi everyone :)
I have sick grandsons, sick Dad, sick sister in law and a sick hubby. I made a big pot of hamburger soup, it was yummy and made all these sick people happy.
Our morning was cold and windy but 1:30 hit and the wind stopped and it was a beautiful day so I took advantage and cleaned the front yard and turned the sprinklers on and went to the backyard and watered everything, my trees, flowers, rose bushes and gave the pond a good water change and filled it back up and then turned the sprinklers on in the back, it started cooling off about 5 so I came back inside, I sure enjoyed the time out and the fresh air.
Mary, I love going to RV shows just to wish :)
Irish, Scout sounds like a cool doggie, you're already having him spoiled for Grandma's house :)
Jana, I hope you post pictures of the dress, it sounds beautiful!
Becca, you can come here and watch me do yard work, I won't make you work LOL.
My printer and computer are having a martial spat I guess and aren't talking to each other so I've been trying to fix it, I think they may need a professional counselor LOL
Chickie, did you give all your beautiful cookies away?
I better scoot, I need to do a few things this evening so I don't have so much to do tomorrow. I'm wiping my house down again...bunch of sickies around here.
Hugs
Tina
