SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, Feb 6th
Good morning!
Good news here! My sister is gonna live! She had her mammo yesterday as well as an ultra-sound and the radiologist reports that both tests indicate only fatty cysts, no tumors. She is still going to keep her appointment with her surgeon this morning since it's on the books, and to get a second opinion. The surgeon may want to remove them. But no cancer! Though she's not too ecstatic about any diagnosis that has the word 'fatty' in it. So their plans to travel here from CO and stay with us for about a month are on!
We cleaned our downstairs carpets yesterday. Today we'll be putting that room back together. I have nothing on the calendar, no place I need to go, and no one is coming here so I told Bill I"m not leaving this house for nothin'! Going to spend the day in sweats. I may not even wear a bra!
CHICKIE - whatever would the family do without you! No dog walker, no calf-saver, no COOK!! no phone-getter. They should all have you on a pedestal! Bill never listens to our conversations either. Yet, he and Other Doyle (Bill calls him Doylie) had a 3-month conversation about tires by text, e-mail, phone, through their RV forum, and in person and they both remember every word of it!! your dog yoga is funny. Here, we have cat yoga. lol!
IRISH - So nice that you had such a sweet greeting on your last visit with Jim. But then, you did have that Frosty! what??? You don't like our Hawks' uniforms?? I think their 'dress blues' are the prettiest in the league. But they did go all lime green one game and that was AWFUL! They must have thought so too when seeing the footage later (or perhaps they got letters) cuz we've never seen the all-lime since! lol! No, I won't be losing any parts. I already can play tic-tac-toe on my belly with the stitch lines there. I have no more expendable parts! Hope your ice clears soon. We have things starting to bud here - forsythia, honeysuckle, and more.
BECCA - sounds like your DH has the right idea - go out for lunch and bring home extra pie! I don't bake much either because if I do, we eat it!
LINDA - that's a lot of quilting in a short period of time, but I guess if you're going to OD on something quilting is the best choice! Yes, we're entering that time of life. I used to go to weddings, then baby showers, then anniversaries. Now it's hospital waiting rooms and funerals. It's all gone so fast!
I have an extra chicken breast and a lot of veggies so maybe I'll make a small chicken & veggie pot pie for tonite. With salad. But I'll assemble it this morning so it's ready to pop into the oven later this evening.
What are you popping into your oven for tonite?

Good afternoon from, Oh heck, I don't even know what to call it, cold, SW. Pa....
Mary, so, so happy about your sister results....What a relief, even if it's fatty...Boy, do I like your plans for the day and minus a bra makes it even better....And it was the lime green uniforms that kind of got me, lol...Just couldn't imagine who came up with that!
Once again, I can't stay and chat, but did want to check in...We are to get nasty weather so I wanted to get on my way, visit with Jim and pick up a few things on my way home and then stay put....Terry will be bringing their dog, Scout, to stay until Sunday while he and DW go to Lake Placid...I told him I thought it was a dumb time to go north but with the Olympics starting, they wanted to be close to where it happened years ago..Kids!
For my dinner, once again, have no idea....The pot pie didn't happen but the cats sure did enjoy the chicken, lol....Who know, the car might decide to stop at Subway on the way home.....
You all have a great day..........
Happy eating..............

Hello everyone, cloudy here but sun tried to peep out but left us.
It’s a stay home day for me too. After yesterday neither os us wanted to leave Home.It was a tiring day.But I was so grateful he won’t have to go back Thursday. Its so hard for him to go anywhere.
I have to go to Optamologist in the morning.Hate Those check ups.
Fed X just delivered my DHs new coffee maker. He got it for 97cents bec of ordering something & got points. Guess not a bad deal.
I want to tell about our 2 DGRands That live out in WA.They are 6 & 8 & Both are sewing. The 8 yr old started at 6 .Their Dad Said they sew at nite in their rooms. Both can thread their needles & tie their knots.Tuscany the oldest sews on a machine. They wanted to learn how to do the blind stitch.I am so happy they are learning to sew.Tuscany made her dolls pillowcases from the fabric I sent them.Im Anxious to see the quilt they come up with from the cut squares I sent each one.
Chickie You are pretty amazing in a lot of ways.No wonder DH was anxious about you.He would need to hire 3 toreplace you.
Irish Hoping your weather is sunny today with no ice or snow on streets. And you get greeted with a hug & smile.
Maryz What great news from your DS.Those fatty tumors are usually no concern.Sure wish Albert could get such a report. And Bills DB Too.So Sorry For both of them.
Wow new carpet I guess it looks like.Thats great.Hope it stays that way.
With the Winter we’ve had it hard to keep Floors shining.
Linda Hope all’s well in your World.Springtime must be beautiful there.I haven’t seen anything here budding out yet.Only just some robins one day.
I made spaghetti sauce & with a salad that will be the meal .And the pasta too. Becca

Glad to hear all is going well for you all. We have ice and they are calling for snow, just no one station can agree with another.....SIGH. It will be a big surprise, just like the ice late yesterday afternoon.....
Our dinner tonight will be chili, and probably potato soup and biscuits. It is very cold outside, and kids are out of school today. Our gravel roads were awful, pavement not bad, just a half mile to get to it!
Take care....Becky

Good evenung!
Dinner is over, banned sticks with corn and zucchini pancakes. Very yummy.
Mary - such good news about your sister. Sometimes thigs do go right. I am doing the carpet here in a couple of days.
Irish - Scout will be good company, but maybe the cats will disagree. It is good that the girls at Jim's place are engaging him. Makes his days better.
Becca - oh all those twins are growing up too fast! But such fun!
Ethanism for you. He got a haircut yesterday. The top was a little too long, so Sarah asked the girl to shorten it, because Ethan's hair grows fast. Ethan announced that he "waters it every night in the bath tub". Everyone in the salon was laughing. He keeps us in stitches.
Kate was here awhile ago. We are now 30 weeks along with the pregnancy. Still contractions, but hanging in there. At 35 weeks, the doctor will take her off the medication to control pre labor. So not much longer.
See ya tomorrow!
Enjoy,
Jana
