Naming a quilt

Post by Bridget1247 » Thu Feb 01, 2018 1:38 pm

A friend gave me some large bags of fabric scraps... mostly squares of different sizes and strips and some made into quilt blocks. I am finishing up a twin sized quilt which consists of 30 16-patch quilt blocks that my friend made and I just added sashes and binding. I am trying to come up with a name for this quilt. It is mostly mid twentieth century vintage fabric with muslin sashes. Anyone have any ideas? My friends name is Ruth and I was would like to incorporate her name in the quilt name. I would appreciate any suggestions anyone might have. Thanks!

How about Ruth's Bounty? The Gift of Ruth, Gifts from Ruth, Ruth's Friendship (you could try to arrange all the pieces she gave you in one giant Friendship Star), Ruth's Star, Star of Ruth, Chaos at Ruth's.

I came up with The l8ve of Ruth, or Ruth's vintage. Such a wonderful gift!

Ruth's Life in Patches is what comes to my mind. I love those type of quilts that show what everyone wore... Hope to see a picture!
