SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, Jan 14th

Post by purrfect-lady » Sun Jan 14, 2018 3:50 am

Good morning!

56 and sunny today! Hooray! It might be my imagination but I've heard more singing birds lately. Maybe they've just come out of their shelters since the rain has stopped.

This morning I plan to bind a quilt - the last of the quilt tops I had made. I do have one more, but it's for a wedding that I think is never going to happen. But for now, a top is easier to store than a whole quilt. Maybe I should help my friend along and finish that quilt and give it away. And the way these things work is that then she would suddenly find herself engaged with a looming wedding and I'd be stuck to make another quilt - fast!

IRISH - OK, Bill needs to know more about your car shopping plans. Almost as if it's any of his business! lol! He was all over the Subaru website last night showing me models - "Is this the one Irish is looking at?" "How about this one?" So apparently we need more info. He likes the Legacy for you. And it's a pretty car. The Outback is a station wagon. And there were two more models he showed me but I can't remember them. He even pulled up colors! lol! I hope it's warming up back there. I worry about Jake, you know.

BECCA - glad you are being wise and staying home from church for a while. God understands! And He's probably blessing you for that! I hate going out in public anyplace right now because that's where the flu is. I wish sick folks don't stay home. This flu is serious business.

TINA - sorry the house didn't get moved. Did the permit expire? Will it cost to renew it? You will have to tell me how you made that bourbon chicken. It might be a good thing to make for my sibs when they all arrive.

I took out half pound of burger to thaw. So we might have hamburgers, patty melts, stew, enchilada or tamale casserole, salisbury steak, or hamburger gravy over mashed potatoes. Not sure yet what. But at least I've narrowed it down!

Are you narrowing down your menu choices yet?

Hello everyone,Another sunny but cold day here.

Maryz I really like your narrowing it down.lol DH has Optamologist Appt this wk.think it may be wise to cancel. They said the shot only covered 10 per cent this year. This IPad has a mind of its own.

Irish You have lots of help & advice so Sure you will do fine with your car.Im rooting for you.Know the visits are not what you hope for but glad there’s still some smiles still.

Tina Seems there’s always a hiccup that gets in your way.Sure hope it’s soon so Dad can get settled & you too.

We have chicken & dressing left so that it will be with a veggie & Goodies. Becca

Good afternoon!

Just got home from church. My Bishop came over to talk with me and asked me to speak in church in 2 weeks. I have a subject and some references to work from. Church starts at 10:30 am, y'all are invited!

Dinner - nice bowl of soup, I hope. It all depends on if my kids show up for a visit this afternoon. They eat at their house, then come here to visit, so they usually show up at our dinnertime, which I put off and we eat whatevers.

Need to scoot, visit better with you tomorrow.

Enjoy,
Jana

Mary, I'll email you the recipe.

The trailer arrived today! Very busy days ahead!

I made corned beef in the crock pot and turned it into grilled Reubens for supper and Jazmyne and I made a blueberry pie to celebrate the arrival of the trailer, Grampy loves blueberry pie!
