Post by purrfect-lady » Tue Jan 09, 2018 3:24 am

Good dark and rainy morning!

This will be a shortie as we are in the car headed to meet my brother and take him up to Seattle again for another test. Hopefully the last one. We have to take him back tomorrow for a conference with his doctor. Then I think all the testing will be done in perhaps they will start doing instead

supper will be leftover fried rice. And salad. If i get a chance, I will be back later today. If not, y’all have a great day !

Good morning! We are foggy here! Pocket Lint and Blackie were at their feed pans this morning and got a generous helping before I took bottles and feed to Blondie and Annie. All the babies are growing like weeds! We had sun and 50 degrees yesterday. The hooligans and I walked to take care of Choc and Maggie and Ava. DH was needing help with splitting and stacking a load of wood, so I obliged. I also spent time in the sun playing with the calves. They butt me and chew on my shirt and follow me around. As a city kid, I sure missed out on fun!

Irish—yes, we have had cows go all the places they shouldn’t when they get through a fence break. It’s always in the worst weather and worst possible times! I’m sorry for Nick, but I hope it may make him want to spend as much time with his grandpa as he possibly can.

Linda—we had 0.4” of rain on Sunday. It was the first in such a long time. Your trip sounds delightful! I take things apart, too. Usually I’m pretty good at getting them returned to working order. At least Featherweights are pretty easy.

Today it will be back to sewing on 2017 Christmas projects. I’m still trying to come up with a neat block for the Valentine swap… There are too many choices!

Mary, best wishes for a safe and uneventful trip today. Best wishes to your DB!

After playing so much yesterday, I plan to sew today. We just have Ava to walk today, and the weather should be nice for the hooligans and I to have a walk as well.
We have Audubon meeting tonight, and I’m hoping we go to town early and grab a burger out. I can always hope…

Bon appétit!

Good early afternoon from a very sloppy, dreary, chilly, SW. Pa....We have no fog but it's not a pleasant day to go out and play......

Mary, hoping and praying for good results today and tomorrow...Being a new year, let's have some good news and let it continue all year....

Becca, Hope you get all those broken parts taken care of...Not to be a downer but I did hear there's another cold front headed our way...But, spring is coming, honest!

Chickie, When I think back, at the time I lived on the farm, I really didn't like it but now, would love to take those years back...It's kind of funny, our oldest DGS is a born "farmer" and had leased a farm for years, raising beef, until a local builder decided to make an offer the owner couldn't refuse...I always said, if ever I won the lottery, he would have his farm...When his 1st son was born, the other kids called him "Baler" because his dad had him on the tractor, at a very early age, out there baling hay...So, I guess in a way, it's in the genes.....

Not sure what's going to happen today...I'm waiting for Nick to give me a call and then he's doing something to my computer...Might have him also move the bed and dresser so I can start painting upstairs...He's going back to school this weekend so I'd like to keep him around as much as possible before he leaves....
Last night was trying to plan our trip to Texas for Stephan's graduation and wedding and not having good results and still haven't decided on the car...As you can see, I'm a mess! But, today is another day......Also hoping to get to visit with Jim...I keep calling and checking....He has a cold, as many of them do, and if he's resting or laying down, I hate to bother him with a visit....I'm hoping it's because he's not feeling well, but the visits don't seem to matter to him too much...He still knows who I am but, it's different....But, we'll see............

As for dinner, who knows....Might be able to talk Nick into going to Subway or any other place of his choice (and we might not even invite his Dad, lol)......

You all have a great day....

Happy eating..........

Good late afternoon ladies.
Boy, I am really running behind this week, and the rest of the week doesn't look a whole lot better!
So, I will just say we are having cheeseburgers, fries and salad tonight, and wish you all well....
Becky
