Dec 26 daily devotion

Psalm 124

In a more common and personal way, we need to realize that it is the Lord who stands beside us, gives us strength, and enables us to escape being entrapped by sin and temptation. Those who take pride in thinking they are strong and vulnerable and like to fall. Sin is like a snare that can allure us and entrap us before we know it unless we are relying on the Lord and recognize that He is our help and our strength. When we call upon His name, we are expressing all that represents as our Redeemer, our Protector, our Healer, our Stronghold, and our Shield. Because we belong to Him we can be confident He is on our side; He is for us, and He is our Defense and our Deliverer.

We sing a hymn, Who's on the Lord's side, who? Now is the time to tell.

We always know He is on our side, but are we on His? It is our choice, and to me it is an easy choice. It is easy to follow His teachings and commandments, I am rather partial to receiving His blessings in doing so. I have learned in the past mistakes of mine, His ways are sure and He knows more than me at any time!
