Supper Club, Thursday, Sept. 21

Hello All:

Since MaryZ is taking the day off and even though it is almost noon, I will jump in for today.

Yesterday the contractor and his 2 helpers got the insulation on the ceiling and put up the wallboard ceiling and the plywood on the roof. But NO cover on the roof. We had a freak huge thunderstorm come through about 5 this morning and we woke up to a water filled and multiple waterfalls dripping into our sun room. We NEVER have rain in September!!!! So the "Wayda luck" strikes again.

I had to run over to my friend's house (she is organizing all the quilts) and help her finish putting the organized rows of quilts into big packing boxes. I also had to put on another sleeve for a late arriving quilt because the sleeve had been put on the front of the quilt. When I got home, DH had started the laundry and told me that the cold water hose came loose and was spraying water everywhere in the hall closet. This is the one of the jobs the contractor had just finished a month ago. So Bob ran outside and got him and he was able to tighten is back on. So that is two, I wonder what is going to be third!

The rest of today I have to fold 500 programs, finish the laundry DH started, finish my last Lotto block for the mail tomorrow, and get the house cleaned up. I will be at the quilt show all weekend and not home to do chores.

Tonight is Date night, eating out, so at least I won't have to plan for dinner. DH will be on his own the rest of the weekend. You all have a good weekend too.

Hello everyone,hothere today.My Heart goes out to all the Hurricane victims & earthquake too.So much sorrow & damages.

Today was Dr day for my lymph nodes & Blood work.Everything is normal & Idont go back until regular check up.God Sure blessed us.Such a relief because ofcaring for DH.

Linda Wow what a day you have had.Hope it gets better.Enjoy your nite out.

After our day yesterday & Dr ,groceries and errands It's been a tiring wk.But carry on is the motto.Willbe beans over rice .DH has goodies from the bakery. Becca

Hi ladies. No, it's not a ghost, it's really ME! I finally got all my jobs finished. Cleaning, feeding birds, balance check book, etc. So I sat down to see who's all around.
Going dancing tonight, so it will be a quick dinner. Instant tators, left over ham, salad, and my new favorite skinny dessert.
My friend got started buying the individual graham crust pie things. I bought sugar free pie filling to spoon into each. Then a spritz of whip topping to make it pretty. Yummmm!
Well, off to read some more posts.

Good afternoon!

The rain is fast approaching! The temps warmed u0, but are now dropping. It will be a cold one, they are ssying tonight might be one to turn on the furnace.

Sarah is dropping off Ethan as she heads over to buy a new iron. He will behave here more than at the store.

Dinner - there's leftover bbq beans, chicken and I will probably make my matzo ball soup.

DH is out in the garage/workshop cutting up his plywood decking for the railroad. I am just finishing up my uglies, the floor is almost finished. I absolutely love my Crosswave that washes and vaccuums my floors at the same time! Such a time saver!

Linda, oh my goodness, what a day you've had. I'm hoping it only gets better from here.

I talked to my oldest brother that lives in Germany today, he just got home from having major surgery and is doing ok for the shape he's in. I told him about Mom, we both cried. We were on the phone for almost an hour. I even told him about our sister and he sure is a good shoulder, I sure miss him but know I'll never get to see him again, he's been away for almost 20 years now and his health won't let him come visit and finances won't let either ofus either. I wish he could see Mom one more time at least.
I'm going out to mow the front yard.
Supper tonight will be taco salad and salad.
